Stopped by with two friends and enjoyed the enchilada chicken potato I had. My friends, however, had ordered more and felt the food was subpar, especially the potato soup which “might as well have been from a can and microwaved” (I thought it was delicious). In April 2020, the owner made a decision to publicly throw their vision of wide expansion out the window by advertising their support of the Trump Administration. I gave 1 star because while I personally enjoyed my meal everything the owner does just screams an awesome and dramatic potential Kitchen Nightmare episode. Unfortunately, the owner of Brixton projects the face of an entitled child who has become upset with the obvious backlash they would get from bringing politics into their daily business, replying unprofessionally to reviews and attacking customers. The owner lost the high ground when they went from an honest and polite reply as seen in very few reviews to displaying, by their actions, the worst traits Trump supporters are scrutinized for. You can’t complain of politicized reviews when you base your business strategy in an election year on showing political support and selling propaganda/one-sided memorabilia. A contest in sales of the “Trumptator”and say a “Bidenato” as an example would have been a fun way to stir up business without provoking hateful interactions - instead they went 100% behind the people that have unsurprisingly done way more for large businesses that can remain successful without publicizing their political views compared to small business owners. TLDR: I would not support this establishment again for as long as they continue to promote hostility and divisiveness; the owner could garner more support if they weren’t so rude and alienated potential customers. What they are doing for COVID-19: employees did not wear masks while preparing food but did wear gloves; but then an employee did put on a mask when bringing our food to a table outside but was not wearing gloves. They allegedly sanitize seating areas but this did not happen once during the ~1h...
Read moreIf could give this no stars I would. I have come in three times in the last two weeks for lunch, getting in at about 11:30. I stand at the front, looking at the menu for about 15 minutes with workers walking past me, ignoring me. The first time, I just let them ignore me, looked at my phone, saw I had been standing there for almost 20 minutes and decided enough was enough. The second time I figured after waiting for 10 minutes I would at least speak up, as maybe they did not know I was there to order something. BAD IDEA. Heaven forbid I say hello, or try to talk to one of them. There is an older women who works there (or at least she has access to go and get food from the back and come back to the front and sit to eat it.), and when I said hello to her she gave me the biggest death glare I have ever received. I asked if her if I got here before they were open and If I should come back, and she just rolled her eyes at me and groaned. The THIRD time I got there looked at the hours, checked that they were open saw another customer LEAVE with an order. I walked in and went to the front, and once more I was ignored. I spoke up, said hello to the employees, finally said "So, I guess you don't want my money?" And once again got a death glare from the older woman who glared down her nose at me from her glasses. I looked at the menu, rapped my hands on the counter, called out hello, and just got dirty looks. Finally I asked the older lady what her issue was and she waves me off stating they are "busy", ya know with no other customer other then myself and my toddler and no phone calls. I asked her if I would be able to order and she sighed liked I was bothering her and went back to ignoring me. SO yea, I don't suggest it. If you don't get service within five minutes just leave. I am wondering how they stay afloat if they refuse to serve people...
Read moreI'll keep politics out of my mouth, and dine somewhere that doesnt try to shove more than a literal dense, cheesy, "tater" down my throat. You vote with your dollar. I was going to leave a positive review, then I saw the owner calling people "leftists" and threatened legal action when she didn't agree with their reviews.
I'd never shop anywhere that attempts to alienate an entire customer base with its marketing (what kind of business model is this?) and neither should you.
Please reconsider stopping by, and instead support a local business that doesnt feel the need to politicize itself for attention, whatever their (or your) political views may be. There are plenty of great, non-alienating) local restaurants to choose from in the area, some even sell Potatoes, if that's what you are into.
In the end, you vote with your dollar, and I wish I could take back every one I've ever spent here (it wasnt much, they sell potatoes...) and give it to a local business that doesnt pollute our city with tacky one sided poltical propaganda.
Strange she doesn't "support our president as all Americans should" anymore....
Edit: this was an old post you reported back in the day, I just removed your name to get it approved. Also... if you don't own this, you are the one hurting the new owners with these responses. Do the new owners know you are here responding to reviews? I'll take a few screenshots and be sure they find out you are still making the restaurant look bad with your...
