Juan Pablo's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Ogden

This place is a great hidden gem. They just recently moved to this location. They serve the best shredded beef I've ever eaten at a Mexican restaurant. I usually don't order shredded beef in any of my Mexican meals because it comes back to haunt me later at night due to what ever they marinade the beef in. Not Juan Pablo's. You can just taste real quality beef with no fat laced all through it. Their shredded chicken is also very good. You need to scope this place out. Its a little hidden on 24th street so keep your eyes peeled. Its definitely worth the stop if you want some good Mexican food for what I feel are very reasonable prices. All Mexican restaurants fill you up but not always in a good way. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Not a huge menu but that that might be a good thing. They can make the food taste better not having to make a crazy amount of different dishes. The parking is not great but they do have a lot on the side of their building and around back if your nervous about street parking or if the streets full. I'm originally from Los Angeles so I've had my share of good Mexican food and I used to have a condo down in Manzanillo, Mexico so I've eaten quite a bit of Mexican food in my life....

Food was fantastic and the pineapple in the #4 special(pork tacos) was a welcome surprise! Would eat here again as the prices are very reasonable given the generous portion sizes.

I also appreciated the melted cheese on the beans. They did one of my favorite things, which is that it isnt just shredded cheese thrown on with no thought. It was a good white cheese with just the right amount of heat to melt it and give the top layer just the tiniest brase. So good!

Service was quick, and the manager even came out after the food was delivered to make sure it was all good. That says a lot for a small place like this.

This would be a good place to come back to as ita tastes are just a little bit different than Bella's are Javier's breaking up the monotony of those establishments as a staple.

Finally, after finishing the meal, my stomach wasn't immediately running away from me. Just happily satisfied with good food! I love when you dont feel over stuffed, or bloated when a meal is over. I would recommend this place for a good...
