This was our second time trying to have brunch At Seltzers. The first time we didn’t realize there was a huge event going on at the hotel and convention center. So it was a mad house and they said it would be almost an hour to be seated for 2. This time we were seated right away and valeted the car for free. Tip your valet driver!!!! This diner has a ton of people working and they all work together to get your food out quickly and correctly. Our waitress was great and knew the menu and how the food was made. That helped us make our decisions on sides. She made sure to get me a coffee to go and that made all the difference. One of the chefs brought out our main courses and even went back to get us some ketchup. The staff is definitely what makes this an enjoyable spot. The only downside to the is location is gambling that it may be a madhouse for events. So maybe check the convention center events or call ahead. The food came out super fast and it was all...
Read moreIt was New Year's Day brunch - nobody knew what was going on. We had a reservation and had to wait (standing) for 30 minutes while they looked for our table. During that time, two staff members came and told us it would be a 20-30 minute wait for a table. When we told them we had a reservation, they rolled their eyes and stomped off. When we sat down, we were given regular brunch menus, but what we booked online said $35/pp brunch. There was a buffet but it was scattered throughout the restaurant and didn't include any coffee or juice, only water. The food was ok but mostly just standard hotel breakfast food, nothing special. Nobody wished us a Happy New Year, staff was mostly just stressed and seemed unhappy. Our waiter even said he wasn't made aware of a buffet brunch before his shift and said "nobody knows what's going on today" and that he has no idea what the $35/pp reservation was for. Sounds like the Omni needs to have a staff meeting and get...
Read moreI am in Oklahoma City for a conference, and I was meeting some friends for breakfast at Seltzer's Diner inside of the Omni Hotel. When we arrived, just as the doors opened for business, we learned that the entire diner operation was being moved to another eatery in the hotel due to some type of issue. This is obviously a great feat to accomplish minutes before the diner was to open. Our server, LINDA, was an integral part of that process. She was feverishly working to accomplish the move while still managing to serve our group with grace and a cheerful smile! I can not imagine the stress that she was under as she and the team were undertaking this move. Kudos to Linda for handling herself so well under difficult circumstances and thank you to the chef(s) for their diligence in making the move but still managing to get great food out to our group by 7am! Congrats to the management team for having such an...
