Buddha Bowls and Rolls — Restaurant in Sacramento

Updating my review at Buddha Bowls' request. My normal morning snack didn't hit the spot and I had a very busy day so I needed to grab something quick. Since Buddha Bowls was close I thought I'd check it out. I ordered the Thai Chicken and Rice soup based on the image from their website. What I got was soup and technically there was rice in it, maybe a single spoonful. Not exactly something that will fill you up and it left me wishing I had asked them to ladle it from the bottom.

Due to my busy day and their proximity, I figured I'd give Buddha Bowls another chance. I ordered a rice bowl but there was no rice in my bowl. Ordered a vermicelli bowl with their char-grilled pork and OG spicy Buddha sauce. Noodles were cooked well (not soggy) and the pork was well seasoned and tasted great. The OG spicy Buddha sauce was solid, it wasn’t the typical watered down fish sauce that some asian-fusion restaurants tend to mess up. However they do lose a star for me because they forgot to include the Vietnamese herbs as mentioned in the bowl description. Other than that, service was exceptional. Staff was polite and very accommodating, especially to food allergies. This is a solid lunch spot for anyone looking for a healthy refreshing lunch. This is located inside the water resources building but anyone is welcome to order food. Ordering ahead of time was super easy and you can choose a pickup time. We ordered the brisket fried rice ($15.70) with 2 pork lumpia ($2.50), a noodle bowl with crispy tofu and Buddha sauce ($13.80) with 2 pork lumpia ($2.50). We also ordered a plain sugarcane juice ($6.80). The food was very fresh and we preferred the noodle bowl over the brisket fried rice. The sugarcane juice was nice and sweet!
