We were in the mood for Mexican food, We're originally from AZ (where Mexican food is plentiful & usually good) and knowing Mexican food in UT is always a "gamble" for quality/taste we settled on trying this place because it was packed and that seemed promising. There were 4 of us (plus a baby). First of all, it is not a "sit down restaurant" which was our first disappointment. There are tables both inside and outside packed very closely together. You have to stand in line to order at the counter, where they give you a number on a metal stand and then you have to hope you can find a table so you can get your food brought to you. It seemed "iffy" that we'd get a table b/c it was so packed but we decided to give it a shot. We stood in line and waited our turn. At the counter we ordered 2 Anjelica's Specials (Carne Asada with bell peppers & onions on tortillas with a side of beans & rice), a Quesabirria plate, a sweet pork burrito, 3 Mexican street corn and drinks. Like many of these types of places they ask for a tip while ordering - before you've had any service at all. And it isn't a place where you are receiving any service beyond dropping your food off at your table. But I tipped well anyways. They have a salsa bar which looked good, but they don't offer chips for sale which was disappointing because we were craving chips & hot sauce. They gave us our number and we searched for a table. We found one outside until one inside opened up. The guy bringing the food brought our Mexican Street corn well before any of the other food. It was okay. The corn wasn't as cooked as it should be and lacked the lime & cilantro typical of the dish but was otherwise good. Then he brought the 2 Anjelica's Specials. I'd added avocado & sour cream to both. Only one had avocado. And one plate had twice as much meat as the other which was really weird, I literally got 2 of the exact same meal and the plates looked so different we couldn't tell they were the same thing. We were confused but didn't complain about the missing avocado or the total mismatched amounts. He said he'd be back with the rest of our order. Several minutes later he came back with the pork burrito and took the number stand. After several more minutes went by, no Quesabirria plate and it dawned on me that he'd taken our number so likely thought he'd completed our order. So the next time he came by, I flagged him down. I showed him the receipt and said we were still waiting on the Quesabirria plate. He mumbled okay and walked away. It was very busy so we understood it could have been forgotten. But... Several more minutes went by. We watched as he brought food to table after table after table without a word to us and actually seemed to be actively avoiding us. I was baffled and then realized he had NO INTENTION of doing anything about our missing dish! So I took my receipt up to the counter and flagged someone's attention, she looked at my receipt and then talked to the kitchen staff. They helped us get the missing dish. I was thankful to her but I fully regretted my pre-tip. The food was only so-so. Not great but not bad. The green salsa in the bar was the one really good thing. But based on this experience we won't bother coming here again. Not worth the noise, hassle and "don't care about...

We ordered the carne asada fajita platter, various street tacos (sweet pork, pollo asada, machaca, and chile verde), and Mexican corn on the cob. Everything was fantastic! The highlight was the Mexican corn, but I crave it and it's hard to find in Utah. The fajita platter was great, but I was expecting a bunch of small tortillas, not one massive burrito tortilla. I'd love to try the torta or burrito next time. All the meats were excellent, so you can't go wrong, but the carne asada and pollo asada are standouts. The chile verde is really good but has a really good kick. Also, everything is messy. It's a great third date place, but not a first or second date spot.

The service is phenomenal and the reason people keep coming back. Angelica herself was at the door to greet us and guide us through the experience. She's amazing and makes her spot what it is. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.

This place gets packed quickly, but it's a casual sit-down, so spots clear up while you're ordering your food. Don't worry about snagging a table before you order. There's dining room and patio seating, with the patio being more fun, but that depends on the weather. There's live music during certain times, and the murals and decor are also awesome. There's not a lot of stalls in the main parking lot, but there's more stalls around back, or you can park on the street. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will...

First things first: the food was excellent. We had a fajita platter, the Angelica’s special, and some street corn. Portions were reasonable and dishes were full of flavor.

The service was rough. For example, the cashier asked whether we wanted flour or corn tortillas with the fajitas, we said flour, and then looking at the receipt after paying, saw that they charged us an extra $3 for tortillas (receipt said +1.50 for corn and +1.50 for flour). When we asked, he said tortillas cost extra. That seemed odd. When we asked why we were charged for both, he acknowledged it was a mistake but then asked around and said “sorry, nothing we can do.” I didn’t care that much about the $3, but it irked a little that they didn’t indicate tortillas were extra and then couldn’t “fix” it by issuing a refund or whatever.

When we arrived in the evening, about 45 minutes before they closed, it was not particularly busy, but it took 20 minutes to receive our food. And as we were eating it, even before closing time had arrived, they started cleaning the lobby, stacking chairs on tables and sweeping up right around us, giving us the sense they wanted us out right away.

Overall, would definitely come back for the food but would be more clear about prices and would shoot for coming a...

I love Angelica's! I had Angelica's special, and I really loved it. I tried the elote (listed as Mexican corn on the cob). It was so delicious. The salsa bar was wonderful too. Everything is great at Angelica's!

My first try at Angelica’s today, had to try carne asada, sweet pork and chili verde street tacos. I just barely beat the rush at 11am, it seems it’s rather popular establishment , especially on Saturday for lunch. The service was fast, didn’t wait more than 5 minutes for my food. Granted I don’t know the time frame for other dishes. The salsa bar is perfect with not too many options people get hung up waiting for others, but everything you want for tacos or any other Mexican dish. Regardless there will always be that one patron that takes all day at the salsa bar. The roasted jalapeño and habanero onions are perfect for the street tacos. I highly recommend if you like a little heat. The sweet pork taco was by far the best with the onions, heat and sweet. Nothing to complain about and nothing I would change. Pricing is solid for flavors and portions. I will definitely try again whenever I’m in St. George. They say best street tacos in St George and cannot argue that statement, I haven’t had better here.
