In the following review I will be describing two different experiences:
07/12/2023: The service we experienced with our server (Hailey - ginger girl) was unprofessional and rude. English is my second language and her arrogant attitude made me feel uncomfortable about my English skills to the point that I didnât not want to ask much about the menu. My friends also experienced a rude attitude from her⊠and she technically forgot about us after getting us our food. I left the place feeling hungry.
When it was time to leave, Hailey told us not to ask for separate receipts because âit was a lot of workâ for her, and because she didnât do her job right she brought and extra receipt and told us âWell, someone has to pay for itâ âItâs only X amount of money, you guys canât afford that?â - Hailey, Why would we pay for YOUR mistake and your arrogance? It was never about the money but about the attitude and the right principles of common sense. If you make a mistake OWN IT, but donât bring your pettiness and arrogance to your costumers. What an unpleasant night from the beginning to the end. Iâm sorry if Hailey is your server and I hope you get a better experience than us because the food is great
09/20/2023: My friends and I went back again last night. Luckily our server wasnât Hailey. Lex did a decent job and she didnât mess up our checks like Hailey did. However, when it was time to cash out Hailey showed up out of nowhere and tossed my receipt with my card on the table while saying âI got this one for you!â - that table made a loud noise đŹ Needless to say that my friends left disappointed with her...
   Read moreMade a reservation for 14 people. Having worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, I called 3 days in advance to secure my time. I gave them the number of people, the name it would be under, date and time we would arrive. When we all arrived, Sam and Zach, the hosts didn't have us on the books. It seemed like there was another large party in the back that was just arriving, possibly a double book situation, or maybe the large party pretended to be us, mistakes happen I get it. REGARDLESS, Zach actually has the nerve to sass me. "Nothing I can do, but say sorry. You sure you called the right place? What day was it? Did you EVEN have the right number?" Seriously!? I pulled out my phone, showed him the number I called 3 days in advance and looked him dead in the eye as he answered his phone. "Yup, right number." 0 accountability, no solutions offered. They could have sat us at the bar, offered free appetizers, ANYTHING. Long Story short, because of Zachs lack of customer service and general bad manners, they missed out on a group of former servers, that spent well over $1000 that night, always tips +25%, lost out on future business from all of us, and gave it to Shinobi Sushi Bar & Grill in Marmalade. 10/10 Stars to Shinobi, they were great, AHH Shushi could really learn...
   Read moreStarted at three stars, knocked down to two by the demand of my co-worker who informed me her rice was crispy. Moving on. We took a group of co-workers to this place, and we were pretty excited to grab the only large table that could seat all 13 of us. The server was prompt in coming over to take our order, and the food came out relatively quickly. I was amazed at the price of their beer schooners, extremely affordable at 3$ (I think this is only on certain days though). They also have a very impressive cocktail list, and the building itself is very charming and hip. The server herself was pretty irate with our group, and was very short in her responses to our questions. I had noticed that the she rolled her eyes several times when my friends couldn't hear her over other people talking, and had to repeat herself. I get that serving a large group can be frustrating, but in customer service at least act like you like your job and don't scoff at customers. The food itself was very poor quality, and bland. I was not impressed with the veggie roll I had ordered as I've had better at grocery stores. My friend also received old rice that was crispy and dry.
