I recently traveled to Savannah, solo, from CA as a birthday gift to myself. I have always wanted to see the town. I went into this basement bar on 3/19/24 and ordered a green beer to go. The bartender was a super friendly gentleman and accommodated my request for a green beer even though it wasn’t St. Patty’s Day. I used the restroom before I left and accidentally left my purse in there. It was 20-30 minutes later by the time I realized my purse was missing, and I was long gone from the establishment. When I realized my mistake, I ran back to the bar. My heart sunk as my purse was not in the restroom where I left it. As I approached the bar, the bartender said with a smile, “I have your purse.    Read moreAfter finding the shortest line we quickly discovered why. On a hot, humid night in Savannah- it was hotter in here than outside. The other patrons said it is always that way. We never felt a lick of cold air. After one beer at the less than crowded bar on a Saturday at 11pm- we were harassed by what seemed to be the manager. He proceeded to challenge us to shots, that once we refused we were instantly insulted by profanity and vulgar name calling. This man did not know our group from anything or what someone may be capable of after being downright insulted. But we were not the only ones he did this two. He drove other likely patrons away- leaving only a "college" like crowd. We intended to stay out late and at possibly one place to avoid walking so much; and likely to spend a great deal of money over the course of the night as we frequently end up doing. This little spiked hair boy will not be gaining our business or our recommendation, as we are locals. We also know the owner personally and do not believe this is how he would like his...
