On 10/14/22 the wife and I were exploring Ouray's Main Street, and she wanteda up of coffee. I obviously went into the store with her and very quickly I was tempted by the Almond Bark. I decided to buy a quarter pound. After a young male with a backwards ballcap stood in the direct vicinity of the bark next to a scale, I asked him if I could have a quarrter pound of the Almond Bark. With no verbal response he fulfils my order, but then proceeds to basically throw the bag of chocolate at me, not releasing the bag, but doing it in such a monner that he clearly did notwant to beat work, let alone helping me. I was FLOORED by this egregious act performed by the kid, and intead of punching him square in the face, I took a deep breath and expessed my concerns to the wife, and attepted to report this incident to the "Manager". I told him everything I conveyed here, but started the converstaion with, "I don't know if that kid is having a bad day, or what, but if that's the case, he doesn't need to be here serving customers." The "Manager" responded with nothing but "have a nice day" with a worse attitude then the kid I was making a complaint on. UNREAL, I don't expect a response, because you guys seem to ingore negative reviews. Karma is a MOFO and the "Kid" and the "Manager" are gonna get...

I can not believe the service we received! I have come to Mouses over the last 8 years. I am a local Colorado resident. My husband and I had gone to view a waterfall on a Tuesday. I had been bragging about this place and wanted to treat my husband who had never been there. When we entered a worker came in from the back and looked at us and turned his head with a disgusted look on his face. I smiled and said hi even though we had been treated standoffish by a blonde haired gentleman. I tried to smile and talk friendly with him but when my husband (Hispanic) talked the gentlemen would huff and turned his head away, refusing to look at us or speak to my husband. I again smiled and attempted to ask how his day was (assuming he was as just having a rough day) he responded shortly, "fine" and turned his back to my husband so he could face the window outside. The employee would not speak, look or stand in the direction of him. Then the manager or owner came out (taller caucasian man) and stood next to the worker at the ice cream, he also starred out the window and refused to engage in any conversation with me. I was completely, utterly appalled at the treatment we received. After all the years I have been visiting this store, due to the disrespect and attitudes I will no longer support...

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience due to the poor customer service I received. While ordering ice cream, the employee behind the counter began preparing my order. At one point, a scoop of ice cream fell off the spoon, landed on her bare hand, and then dropped onto the separator between the ice cream tubs. To my surprise, she attempted to place that scoop into my cup. I politely asked for a different scoop, and she responded with a rude look before discarding it.

After completing my order, she slammed the cup on the counter, shut the ice cream cooler door aggressively, and walked away without saying a word. I brought this to the cashier’s attention, and while she offered me a discount, I declined, as I wasn’t looking for compensation, just accountability. I then spoke to the manager, who seemed indifferent and unconcerned about how customers were being treated. To be completely honest, the cashier handled the situation better than the manager did. She should have that role, not the individual who currently holds it.

If you value good customer service, I would recommend going elsewhere. The employee serving the ice cream demonstrated an attitude and behavior that do not belong in a...

After a long, rough day in the silver mines, I had to treat wifey to a coffee milkshake so we dipped into Mouse’s Chocolates & Coffee. Cute little spot to tempt your sweet tooth. Line moved quick, staff was friendly, drinks were rather tasty. It’s got a little something for everyone, unless of course you’re on the Adkin’s Diet. I guess you can have black coffee, but you’ll be tempted like crazy, probably want to hit the hotel coffee pot instead. Wifey went with the Muddy Ice Climber shake, and the Chai tea felt risky at time of order but turned out to be a game changer.

We came here after dinner at the Ouray brewery rooftop bar. I got a soft serve cone of vanilla ice cream. It was the best soft serve ice cream that I’ve had in years. I absolutely loved it! There were so many options for other desserts too, which looked incredible as well. Everything looked clean and hygienic as well, which is extremely important especially for soft serve ice cream. The staff was very friendly and served me within five minutes of me entering the shop, despite the fact that we came during peak hours on Labor Day weekend.

This place does such unusual drinks- I had the Mexican hot chocolate- cant recommend enough. I dont even like cinnamon and I enjoyed it. My sister had the double fudge ‘wow’ shake, which we also enjoyed. Marion, who served us, was absolutely lovely as well! My only critique is that it is very expensive here- 20 dollars for two drinks is alot but it is in a very touristy location, you have a great view, and the drinks are delicious, so 🤷🏼‍♀️
