I love BBQ! My favorite is beef brisket. I got the two meat platter with double brisket. Each slice of the brisket I recieved had up to half the slice made up of fat. I asked the waiter about it and he said that it has been fatty like that lately. I cut most of it off and that is what is pictured in the top right corner. No one else came to talk to me about this until I asked for the manager. I guess they figure that much fat is normal. I believe tha standard for trimming a brisket is to trim the fat down to 1/4 inch. More than that in my experience makes all the meat taste like fat, no smoke or beef flavor. The manager I talked to said they recieved brisket from their supplier and use as is. I told her her there are sharp pointy things that can be used to trim the fat and she said the process was determined by corporate policy and the food service was contracted to provide the brisket to the corporate specifications. She offered to replace the portions I received and I accepted. What she gave me was very good and had almost no fat. My issue is I paid $70 before tip for a dinner for 3 that if I wouldn't have pressed the issue I would have been horrible screwed. Maybe I'm being to harsh, but if you are going to a restaurant that specializes in BBQ then the manager should have solved the problem by knowing her trade and refusing the shipment of poor quality beef. I guess you only get quality if you stand up for it. I've been here many times and this is not the first time the brisket has been this way. Shame on me for comming back and expecting something different.

I have been a long term patron of both locations Tigard and Portland. Just a week ago I drove out to the Tigard location using a Local Flavors Coupon. We had a couple of drinks waiting for the order to go. When we got home the Side order of Beans was really disappointing. They Charged us the $4.99 for a side order of Wilbur's beans. You can see from the photos it was a super small container. The scale weighed in at less than 4 oz. With the container and the beans. Do the math that is over $1.25 an ounce. My fault for not checking the package before we left. Just a warning to all. I no longer recommend this location, as with the Portland location you do get what you pay for in portions. Not in Tigard. No wonder all of the coupon offerings at the Tigard location we will NOT be returning! As a side note the portion for the BBQ nachos was a lot less than the Portland location as well. Response from the owner. "thanks for the review".. I was ripped off and the owners response... "Thanks for your review"? Tells me they don't give a darn about ripping off their patrons.

Why bother putting 1/2 a piece of toast under the meat ? its soggy and bloody gross..a 1/2 slice of cheap white bread.. (garbage bread) . Not even garlic toast! It also came with a stale disgusting corn muffin... a total ripoff @15 bucks for lunch that was very lean on portions. Once you've had really good barbecue.. you know when it isn't. Dry rubber meat and a glutinous corn muffin, soft bloody bread and I don't know what was going on with the coleslaw but had an off taste ...moldy. Had to throw the muffin and the 'toast' away the coleslaw was not very good. then the three small dry rubbery slices of brisket and two small dry ribs for $15 !! are you kidding me. Not much of the actual food in the lunch was edible. Whoever says this place is good..doesn't know what good is ! Rubber brisket is good?? I recommend finding a different place to eat.

What a disappointment our visit was. We arrived with a group of 14 people but gave the option to seat separately. We were hungry but were ok with waiting 45 mins-1hr for our table, we had to wait close to 2 hrs! Finally when the restaurant was about to close they sat us at different tables because the clients in the big table wouldn’t leave. The 2 babies (14 and 18 months)were starving so I had to ask for a piece of bread for them which we were charged for and she only brought 1 piece not one for each. When the big table was finally available we asked to be moved but were told that area was closed for the night. Our friends had to sit on the other side with the older kids when a table for everyone was available. They took our orders quickly because we had already decided what to order since we had been waiting for so long. Everyone’s food was served but my husband’s and he had ordered first. We waited, and finally when someone came to refill drinks I asked for his food and she said it was probably coming soon, we waited some more, and then I had to ask our server for his food and she said everything had been brought to our table already. She checked and realized she forgot to put the order through so she had to place the order again and when it finally came, we were told the kitchen was closing to place any last orders now if we wanted anything else. Our friends said “at least that plate will be free because they took so long” but to my surprise there was no discount, no coupon or anything to reward our extreme patience. This is the first time that I do not leave a tip. If your restaurant is busy or at capacity please let your customers know to have them choose to wait 2 hrs or...

Our family recently went on vacation to Puyullap, WA, and discovered Famous Daves. At first looking on the outside. I thought it was a pizza joint, but when we pulled into the parking lot, meaning to go to Olive Garden next door, we realized that it was BBQ, and ribs just sounded sooo good. Once inside the hostess took our order, she was incredibly friendly. And gave us wings without bones instead of with. But thats ok. The ribs well made up for this. The manager greeted us. The food was so good, we decided to eat 2 nights in a row. The manager saw me the next night and let me know that there were locations in Oregon. I was so excited due toI have never even heard of this place or knew it was a chain. Yes its a little costly but if you can, go get some ribs. The mac N cheese is good too. It has jalapenos in it. We did save money by not dining in. We do this since we have a 2 and 3 yr old girls. The bartender looked at me kinda rude when I didnt tip her all my $10 tip from a $29 order. I used to serve and bartend and I never ask customers if they wanted their change. It just rubbed people the wrong way. If they want to tip you, they will. You'll know when you deserve a tip. I give 20% or more when dining in, but to go orders, not so much. I will tip but come on now, $10 tip off a $29.99 tab..... Anyways the food is really good, and I cannot wait to try this restaurant in Tualatin. I am...
