Prasai's Thai 2 Go — Restaurant in Twin Falls

UPDATED REVIEW 1/20/23: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM OWNER, WILL NOT BE RETURNING

Prasai's was on my mind because Google just sent me an email notifying me that my original review just reached 1K views, so I called in a delivery order for lunch. I was warned that the wait would be 60-90 minutes, which I agreed to. I prepaid on the phone since I was using a CC, and was asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity for the driver and hoped for the best. My lunch arrived in that window of time by a friendly delivery driver, but it was missing two items: my curry and the extra rice I ordered. I called back immediately, and the same employee who took my order was pretty nice about it, acting surprised and frustrated on my behalf. They handled that part just fine. I said that this wasn't the first issue we've had with delivery orders (most recently we got a dinner order after 120 minutes when we were originally quoted 30-45) - so I asked if they would do a gesture of kindness by upgrading the curry (by a few ounces) to a dinner portion since I had already waited so long for my initial order and would have to wait ages for it to be redelivered. The employee asked their owner - the owner supposedly said "No, we cannot do that. We can remake it and deliver again, or we can do a refund." I understand that logically, that solution makes sense because it IS what I paid for initially, but I also paid in advance for a service that included delivery within a certain window of time. Even if it had been remade or delivered exactly the same way, it would have been ages before I was able to eat. I asked respectfully to speak directly to their manager/owner. The employee told me the owner refused to speak to me. I said fine, just deliver it as is. Then the employee said the owner was no longer willing to do a redelivery of the items they failed to deliver, and now the only option was a refund.

The employee on the phone handled everything appropriately and kindly, and the driver was fine, too. The problem here is with the apathetic ownership, whose attitude towards a regular customer experiencing yet another issue was frustrating and strange. I fully acknowledge that the owner was willing (initially) to send my food to be delivered again, but there was no apology for the beyond ridiculous wait time or the mistake in the first place, then their immediate and infantile problem solving customer support.

Full disclosure, the delivery driver brought my curry almost immediately after I got off the phone. Felt like a coincidence and he had just forgotten the second bag. Still missing the second rice, for whatever that's worth.

PS. Their lunch menu tastes so weak compared to the preparation of their dinner menu. It took me a half dozen orders to confirm it. Lunch, meh. Dinner, great. I'll really miss it now that I'm taking my business elsewhere.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Goodness, me! I am not even done with my dinner yet, but I am just so impressed. I've tried a few other Thai restaurants in town, one was meh and the other was pretty nice. This is just what I was hoping for. I called in a delivery order and they were a bit quicker than they estimated, and the driver was really pleasant. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai, and they added tomatoes and spice for me no problem. We also got simple Pad Thai, with chicken and no spice, which came exactly as we asked. The soup was JAM packed with the traditional ingredients I was hoping for. It has the perfect taste and texture. The pad thai was lovely as well. Just enough sauce that everything was nice and coated evenly, and the sauce has a great rich taste without too much sweetness. The chicken wasn't overcooked, the green onions were fresh, lots of peanuts, and it was just overall tasty. I wouldn't go as far as to say this is the best Thai food I've ever had, because I've eaten at more Thai restaurants than I can count and worked at a few. But it was very tasty, delivered quickly, and priced fairly. I will absolutely order from here again and will update if my glowing...

11/3 - 1st I want to say the 1 star is not for the food but 100% for the young lady behind the counter. She was so nasty from the moment she opened her mouth, made accusations that our order was not placed with them, accused us of now using their number as a way to excuse our lack of ordering ahead of time. Refused to get the manager when asked to please give me someone else. She brought the cook out and said he is the owner, stood there laughing and mocking our conversation and when I asked her name to contact the owners, "don't worry about it" was her response. There was a party of 4 dining in and they said she had been there all afternoon and was nasty to many other customers who came in, that wasn't refreshing to here. I was never provided a managers name or an owners name. This young lady needs some coaching if she is going to work in the customer service industry. Maybe she is related to the owner's, just so ridiculous to have to be treated so awful. BTW... they did find my original order ticket on their counter, it had never...

I came here on my birthday because I really wanted some great curry. This was my first time here and we only ordered two dishes. I was recommended the Red Chicken Curry as their best curry option. The staff was friendly, but the dish could not pass as curry. The sauce didn't taste like curry or coconut milk. It actually tasted like watery bell peppers - like they boiled the bell peppers in water and used the water for the sauce. I was very disappointed because I LOVE curry so much. We let the server know that we didn't like it, but we didn't get offered a refund of our money. We ended up taking it home, pouring out the sauce and using the remaining ingredients for something else.

I would have hoped they would go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience for me on my birthday, but they didn't seem concerned that we weren't pleased with the dish.
