Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Twin Falls

So I would give this 5 stars, but herein lies the reason as to why I won't. I live an hour and a half away from here, so when I visit Twin Falls to do shopping this is the first thing we stop for. Its a well earned treat for the long day of shopping and crowds that lies ahead. So we got here and the line was 10 cars deep on each side, which isn't a big deal, as its something that is usual for this location. But the kid that took my order must have been new, or not listening to half of what I said, because his response to everything I said was "what was that again?" After ordering it took about 15 minutes to get through the line to the drive through. Again, time doesn't play a role in any of this, as I'm always expecting some kinda wait here as popular as this place is. Anyways we get our drinks and drive away without tasting them. I pulled out on to the highway and finally had my well deserved drink of deliciousness, and it tasted like caramel water. Well, watered down caramel however you want to describe it. I was fairly disappointed. The only saving grace for DB is the fact that there is another one about 2 miles from this one. So I promptly drove there, they were gracious and kind, made our drinks correctly, and had us on our way. So I have to be honest here I don’t come to Dutch brothers because I like your coffee, in all honesty it’s not my favorite. You do however have a lot of other assorted beverages that are yummy which is awesome! My main reason for coming to Dutch brothers is your customer service. It really is in a league of its own and a lot of other businesses could stand to benefit from your example!

With that said, please tell me that your absolutely wonderful employees are being monetarily compensated for the lack of tips that they can now receive because you are not accepting cash as a form of payment!

I can understand airing on the side of caution right now but not when it is at a literal expense to your staff. Especially when there are such easy measures that could be taken to alleviate any concern! Gloves being one of those handy little measures (pun intended) along with hand washing or hand sanitizer. The world has never seen a person die from handling cash and I certainly don’t think, even with COVID, that that is something likely to happen still!

Please understand this is not a negative review, the five stars are fully earned! But as a customer who’s debit card was not accepted by your machine I shouldn’t have to go to the nearest store to purchase gift cards (with cash btw) for your staff so that they can get the tips they most...

I am visiting Twin Falls for 10 days and needed to find a good coffee shop. With the dozens of options available, I decided to try Dutch Bros. first. Being from the East coast, I had never heard of them. Hands down I have found my new coffee stop! Yesterday, their drive thru line was a mile long, yet moved quickly. They have an employee stationed in the drive thru to take orders and payment- and in my case, discuss coffee options since I was a new customer. The customer service was impeccable. The baristas were able to follow my instructions and make the drink I wanted, although they had never heard of it! And it was amazing! Since it was my first visit, there was no charge! Wow- now that's how you get my repeat business! Went back today, and was blown away again. Not 1, but 2 employees in the drive thru line taking orders. Again, they were pleasant and helpful with my unusual drink creations. Then came the clincher; since yesterday was "no charge" I still had no idea what kind of prices they have. I was pleasantly surprised when the cost of my specialty drink was several dollars cheaper than I'm accustomed to paying! Wow- friendly, knowledgable employees, quick service, incredible drinks AND reasonable prices. I just can't imagine why someone would go anywhere else! Keep up the fantastic work...
