Buyer beware: I'm changing my review to a singe star, because "zero stars" isn't an option. After three strikes, My family will no longer be doing business with Wilson Bates. First Strike was to sell us a "new" furniture set that required the drawers be re-aligned. I put "new" in quotes, because we found the receipt from the previous owner who had returned the furniture. (Also interesting, the previous owner paid less than we did). The chest was sent to service center for over a week and returned with worse alignment and visible gaps. Second Strike: We purchased two motorized recliners. During the break-in period (~first month) one of the chairs developed a shudder in the mechanism. The chair was also returned to service under warranty, where it remained for weeks! Many calls to service were either ignored or completely misrepresented the nature of the delay. After many weeks of waiting, we again received our chair. Third Strike: We purchased a slide-in range. Delivery would not install, due to variances in cabinetry (not their fault, perfectly understandable). However, the appliance was not tested onsite, despite all cables connected and the unit powered up. During our ownership of this device, exactly one meal has been cooked. All other times the range has been unreliable or non-responsive. Wilson Bates gave us 2 options: accept a lesser quality floor model, or pay the difference on another "new" appliance. I realize that covid made it so that we did not receive our refrigerator for over a year but the Wilson Bates staff never called two let us know if the refrigerator was ever going to come then after about a year of waiting my wife asked for a loaner fridge we received it and it was filthy. It was full of flies and dirt. Then when we finally went to another furniture store and were able to purchase a fridge we asked if Wilson Bates would match the offer and they said no and then about 2 weeks later decided that they would match the offer and at that point we had already committed to purchase another fridge. Then Wilson Bates took the loaner fridge back and had the gall to charge us $50 for a restocking fee after having kept our money for over a year. I will never purchase another piece of furniture from Wilson Bates...
Read moreLove Wilson Bates, we have shopped there for many years. Jeanie Ivy is amazing. She goes out of her way to provide "Quality Customer Service" and that's hard to find these days. We have been so happy with her and how kind and helpful she always is when we are looking for furniture. She isn't pushy, doesn't try to sell you something you're not interested in, or that costs more money like lots of sales people at other places do. We can browse by ourselves if we want and ask questions after, or she will walk with us. Either way, she gives us space, and I feel she is honest and cares about her customers.
