I follow a vegan diet and live a healthy lifestyle, so I was hoping to improve my work/life balance by trying a meal prep service. I ordered 10 vegan meals this past week to give it a shot. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the overall quality.
Several meals lacked adequate protein—four of them had 15 grams or less—which left me feeling unsatisfied and needing to supplement with additional protein sources. The meals also lacked flavor and creativity, which is essential for plant-based cooking. As someone who’s petite and doesn't typically eat large portions, it's rare for me to still feel hungry after a meal, but that was my experience here.
I usually spend $80–$100 per week on groceries to prepare well-balanced, satisfying vegan meals. I spent an additional ~$60 this week hoping to save time and reduce stress, but unfortunately, it wasn’t worth it. None of them even came close to what what 'Lyfestyle' is putting out when it comes to the taste and quality of the food being cooked/sold here. Not one bad meal in over eighteen months, and always delivered on time. I do the meal prep menu, and went all in last year. I ate nothing but there menu for six weeks, with an occasional mixed green salad of my own making. I was able to drop about twelve pounds without upping my cardiovascular activity or adding powders or pills. Just switched to clean eating and their recommendation of appropriate portions. I was looking to lose weight, learn portion control, and save some time. I work full time and am in grad school and this has helped me accomplish all of those things! I’m also diabetic so Collin (the owner) explained they rarely ever put added sugar in items/sauces and that there are a few menu items to stay away from.
