Horrible. Wish I could give it no stars. Way over priced greasy food.
My wife and I just left and feel like we were robbed. We ordered a coffee and seria mist with 2 waters. The waitress brought 2 cups of coffee the pop and 2 waters. I said that's ok I'll drink them both to the 2 coffee cups. We then ordered the eggs and sausage breakfast. It comes with 2 eggs, I chose scrambled with cheese, 3 sausage links, hashbrowns and toast. My wife got a ham omelet with hashbrowns and toast. We then asked for a side of pancakes and bacon.
When our food was brought to us only 2/3 of it was brought out ( my eggs, sausage and hashbrowns, pancakes and bacon) . Then the waitress sat 2 tables and took an order. 5 minutes later she brought out the omelet and hashbrowns. Then a few minutes later we were finally given our toast.
The bacon and sausage was soaked in grease. The pancakes were crumbly and not good at all. We never were asked if we need anything once we received our food nor did we ever get any refills.
Once we were finsished eating our waitress was nowhere to be found. We walked to the front cash and found her there but was ignored while she spoke with one of the cooks. She then looked at my wife and said oh let me get your bill and wandered off. When the waitress came back to take the payment we were never showed the bill. She just gave to total and tool the credit card from my wife's hand. $44 for breakfast for 2 people. The waitress charged for 2 cups of coffee even though refills are free. Charged over $2 for a slice of cheese they put on the omelet.
I never take time to do reviews but I made damn sure to do this review even as I sit in the parking lot. What a waste of money. Should have just had the eggs and cereal at the hotel that...
Read moreI would absolutely avoid this restaurant. The bathrooms were very dirty which was the first thing I noticed. Should have left after that. The food was just terrible. Greasy, bland. Served on extremely small plates so that you don’t notice the very small overpriced portions. I probably would have left it at that..not leaving a review but never returning except for something that happened which was bordering on fraudulent causing me to write this review. I ordered a Coke. It was served in a cup filled to the rim with ice, so it was gone pretty quickly. The server was very diligent in stopping by over and over asking if I’d like more coke. I said yes twice. Guess what? Each time she refilled that glass full of ice I was charged $3.50. Same with my breakfast companion. So in total we were charged $24 for beverages! Due to both glasses filled to the rim with ice we likely got the equivalent of 1 can of Coke apiece. I’ve never heard of a restaurant charging for refills and at $3.50 a glass either. She practically stood by the table waiting to see if we needed a refill. So that’s their racket to scam just a bit more money from their customers. Maybe that’s understandable since we were the only people in the restaurant at 8 a.m on a Saturday. But a bit of advice: concentrate on making your food better over scamming people. In total it was $74 for 2 people for the worst breakfast I’ve had in years. I now firmly believe that any good reviews are fake. It’s unfortunate they did this to us but we later realized they probably marked us as tourists so they didn’t care they perpetrated poor business practices thinking they’d never see us again. They’re right but at least there is power...
Read moreWe will NEVER, EVER, go back there! We wish we had read the reviews before we went there. We went for breakfast. We are retired senior citizens, and we often split meals because in most restaurants the portions are too generous for us. We ordered one omelet "on special" for $9.99. We also ordered a cup of coffee each (2 total). When the omelet was served we asked for some salsa. The food was so-so, not great, nothing special, actually had an unpleasant after-taste. When we went to pay the bill, it was over $22.00 !! When we looked at the bill, we saw that they charged us $1.00 for the "extra plate" for splitting the omelet, plus charged us $3.00 for 2 ounces of so-so salsa! But the BIGGIE was -- They charged us $2.95 for each cup of coffee!!! HUH?? $2.95 for a cup of mediocre coffee? -- The clerk who took our money was very aloof, would not make eye-contact, especially when we questioned the total cost. We don't know if she is the owner, but obviously she has had to "steel herself" to the outrage of customers when they find out the total!! They fooled us once, but never again! We do not recommend this rip-off joint! -- On the other hand, Pine Country Restaurant is FANTASTIC!!! Great people, great food, friendly atmosphere! We will definitely GO THERE...
