Min's Sushi bar & BBQ — Restaurant in Hội An

Came here motivated by the sudden craving for sushi and the great reviews I saw for this restaurant!

The staff was great, I asked a couple questions through google chat and they helped me make my reservation and were very patient and kind to me, as I do not speak vietnamese.

The food was spectacular, the quality of the dishes and the cut of the fishes, the taste and flavours were out of this world. I had a lot of quality sushi in my life and this is at the top 3 for sure.

I asked for Set A (2) + Spicy tuna roll + Maria Wase Nigiri Set + Sapporo beer (2). The yellow fish tuna sushi and the salmon sashimi were superb, I cannot recommend it enough.

The whole bill was around 1.2 mill vietnamese dong (approx 42 euros/50 dollars). Taking into account the local currency, this restaurant is on the pricier side but you definitely get quality in every bite, so very worth it. Not a everyday treat though, so savor it fully!

The ambiance was great, with dim lights and a cozy vibe. I would have enjoyed listening to soft music through dinner, something like japanese/vietnamese artists from the 80s - 90s playing would have set the final touch.

I have loved this discovery and I'm looking forward to coming back next week to celebrate my birthday with a lovely...

Do not come here. Honestly, for paying 400k pp ide expect any kind of English speaking staff, food that arrives not one hour late, and normal sized portions. Heck, maybe even normally rolled and cut sushi. The only good thing here was the sashimi which requires literally no work. Abysmal.

The owner responded with him giving me a discount to "apologize". This is a complete lie. I have ordered the sashimi combo, without 40% of the dish( no scallops and no herring). For THAT I have recieved a tiny 8% discount!! You actually going to put it as you gace it from your kindness?? Changing my review to everything one star since you even try to lie publicly. Even when asked about the tiny 8% discount you said It was for the sashimi. Lier, bad sushi master, and unpleasant place. Moreover, when I got my food after one hour waiting, another customer started shouting that he has been waiting longer than I have and Is leaving because it is taking...

Impossible for me to fault. From the authentic and delicious complimentary miso through to the set menus and sashimi platter.

Very relaxed vibes and impressive design/furnishings creating the atmosphere of an authentic small Japanese restaurant.

It was a pleasure to watch the chef prepare our food in front of our faces, it is plain to see he is well trained and takes Japanese culinary art with deep respect to its heritage. I was particularly pleased by the beautiful array of santoku blades he had at his disposal.

Of course many people are in this area to try local Vietnamese food but I must point out here, with no disrespect to the local food culture, that the chefs approaches food hygiene with the utmost of consideration.

My personal favourites were the salmon roe nigiri and chefs signature salmon sushi roll which was as impressive to watch him flambé as it was to eat.
