Prices are relatively low & there's an extensive menu with English & printed prices. Ambience is non existent but besides a certain charm it also keeps prices low. This is one of the few food places in Vietnam where I don't feel like I'm being ripped off.
Chicken rice: rice was fragrant & savoury & slightly sticky. The chicken was decent - slightly tough, cooked with black pepper & Maggi seasoning (or equivalent). It was accompanied with herbs, onion & lightly cooked tomato. Chili sauce on the side was good.
Papaya shake was decent. There were some unblended bits but there was lots of fruit. I didn't ask if the ice was made from purified water.

Ok looks are definitely not everything so don’t judge the book by the cover. I had the fried wantons with pork and shrimp, pork Cao Lau and morning glory. All delicious! Run by a mum and daughter team who work from 7 am to 10pm 7 days a week. The dad is there also but isn’t able to do much with his condition. Don't expect anything fancy in the decoration, here is all about food. I spent a week in Hoi An and I ate every single day here. Their food is great.
