Read moreLouis tussauds is an awesome wax museum that is fun for all ages. But, i suggest that if you have a fear of wax figures, you should stay away, because some of the figures look so real, i thought some of them were actors. Unlike movieland, you are allowed to pose with and touch every single wax figure there. While some of them look real a lot of others do look relativley fake (like the harry potter one.) one interesting part was when you get to see the masks of celebrities faces they used to make the wax figures. There are a bunch of different scenes also, like the micheal jackson room, and the one part where you get to take a picture of yourself going over the falls. My personal Favorite section was the horror section. They have an animatronic cryptkeeper at the front of it, and you walk into a dark hallway inside a metal gate. NOTE TO PARENTS: Do not bring your little kids into this section. There is a door you can take to skip it. Right next to the entrance it says: "This area may be too frightening for small children." The freddy and jason figures looked amazingly real, and the part that WILL scare little kids is the Alien room. Your'e inside a dimly lit room with a green light, and you see a giant egg next o you. as soon as you pass by, it makes a very loud noise. At the end of the hall of horror, homer simpson has his own little room from the treehouse of horror episode where they spoof the shining. Over all it was a very fun attraction. I'd definetely...
Read moreWas honestly pretty disappointed... I went to the original Madam Tussauds when I was a kid and always wanted to come back. I understand it's the off season but it really felt like this place was built 20 years ago and except for a few added figures has been ignored since. To start the Henry VIII and his wives display were missing a wife (just an empty spot) and it sounded like she had been taken for repairs, which is fine, but going through it was clear many more figures were in need of repair. Some were falling over, clothes on them were worn or faded, paint was rubbed off and, for whatever reason, many were missing one hand. Some figures were just terrible - not just a bad likeness, just in all honestly a mannequin with a ratty wig. Specifically Angelina Jolie's figure. I'm glad she had a name tag because it looked like a kid's abused barbie doll with terrible face paint, ratty hair and a too-big dress. Oddly enough a couple figures were amazing. Just seemed like some were Tussaud's quality while others were sourced from the many haunted houses nearby and given a movie star's nametag.
The Avengers display was much newer and pretty cool.
It wasnt terrible but it wasnt good and not worth the admission price of $13. I wish it had been better, would have loved to write a...
