Boudreaux Cellars Tasting Room — Attraction in Leavenworth

I had such a great experience tonight at the Boudreaux cellars! I must admit I am a little biased of cellar, because we share a name! The lady who served the wine was so kind to me and spent the time to have a conversation! I got to speak with the owner who is also from my area, who was nothing short of kind and informative. Funny enough, we are both from the same area as it turns out! I really liked that I could drink a glass of wine and shop around. Another kind lady took my items from me, so I could shop hands free. We visited on a hot day during COVID-19 and enjoyed sitting in their shaded outdoor space. Loved the comfortable and classy seating, they brought us water right away. The tasting options were reasonably priced. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, not pushy, gave us all the time we wanted to taste and relax. It was a perfect pit stop! Bought a glass of Merlot during October fest 2024. The color was a deep dark beautiful red. The nose smelled wonderful. The flavor was absolutely delicious. I bought a $65 bottle to take home. It was absolutely horrible. The wine was a reddish brown color, it didn't smell great either. No way was this bottle drinkable. The year on the bottle was 2017. The glass of Merlot I had was obviously a newer year. Seems to me this Winery is tasting the fresh new wines and selling the left over older years! Save your money and just have a glass....
