Studio 1890 Old Time Photos — Local services in Leavenworth

I am really late writing this review but my experience here still bothers me. We decided on a whim to do some Bavarian style photos while on a vacation in Leavenworth a year ago. The photo shoot started out good for my family of 4. Until a very large group of 15-20 people came in and it became obvious that this group became more important ($$$). We were quickly rushed along during our photo shoot due to the larger group. Some of the costumes desperately needed to be mended as there were rips and missing buttons. Originally I would have given this place a 4 star rating for the above mentioned things and the pictures really turned out great. However after paying for our prints i realized at another shop that I forgot my fitbit watch in the change room. I quickly returned to the store approx 20 mins later and I asked our photographer if she has seen my watch, she said it was turned in and asked another cashier for the watch. That cashier said she didn't have it but then ask a lady (customer) that was reviewing her own photos if she had it! The customer pulled it out of her pocket and said "Oh, is this yours"? I can't believe that an employee would give another customer a lost item to take home that wasn't theirs. Maybe if it wasn't claimed for weeks but I left my watch behind for 20 mins. They knew it was my watch because I forgot to take it off in the photos and the photographer took it when I handed it to her and placed it in our clothes basket. They also had my contact information too because I signed a waiver for them to use our print for promos. Not an honest group of...

We took the pictures (saloon themed) and they chose great outfits for us (family of 5). Unfortunately they had only fitting shoes for me but no kids or men shoes. So my husband stands barefooted in a saloon - how does that make any sense? Also my son who was sitting in the front had his shoe/pants kind of twisted and it looks really weird in the picture. They also took a photo when my daughter had her eyes closed and I told her immediately to check. She said it’s ok, we moved positions and she took more pictures. We got the whole online package and of course there is the picture with my daughters eyes closed. Then my barefooted husband and my son with the twisted leg. Out of about 15 pictures we have maybe 1 or two good/okay ones. We let them know - before we bought the pictures - that we don’t like that my husband is not wearing shoes in the pictures (and it’s not hidden behind anything) and they told us to just cut off the feet. i loved the picture we took, the place is good in the middle of the town and the idea is very nice and they have multiple options for the style of the pic ( western, cowboy style or fancy style, and some others as well). the reason why i am giving 3 stars is because of some stuff i didn't like during our visit there: 1- many of the dresses where missing some of the ties so we had to use many clips, which is fine. 2- the dresses were not clean. 3- the folks who worked there were not as welcoming and nice as they should be, probably because they were busy since it was during the xmas lightening but still, customer service quality shouldn't be affected by how busy you are, it felt like that they just want us to take the pic and go. 3- the price for the pic is ok but if i want to get the CD, it doesn't make any sense that ihave to pay for the double of the price, there must be an option to buy the CD only without the need to buy the printed pics first then again paythe same amount...
