Pros: Loved loved loved my massage therapist. Honestly, he gave the best massage Iāve had to-date. I frequently get massages but my therapist included so many little details to the sessionāhot stones resting on my palms, hot towel on my feet to warm them up prior to beginning, breathing exercises to relax, and finishing off each area of the body with subtle placements of his hands and pressure to make it a seamless transition and flow to the next area of focus. I felt incredibly comfortable, because he made an extra effort to assure me that I was in complete control of the session if something didnāt feel right.
The cupping technique used was 100% the most effective session Iāve had to-date as well.
Con: Only one and I will mention, that it was partially my fault. Thin strands of my hair kept getting caught under his forearms and hands when he focused on my neck and shoulders. I misplaced my hair tie when changing into my robe in the locker room and winged it. I have very long hair and extensions so it made me nervous when it would get caught or hung up. I did mention it, and I do believe he tried to avoid this mishap but felt like I had to keep reminding him. Again, I definitely couldāve prevented this from happening if I wouldāve had a hair tie in, or if a head band was offered. Iāve been to Woodhouse before and a hair band wasnāt offered in the past either.
Still, this place was worth the extra add-ons. I had a gift card and upgraded the massage with personal funds to a 180 min hot stone massage with cupping. Iām beyond grateful for the gift card I received from a family member, and Iām so glad I chose the additional upgrades.
Iāll definitely be back (with a hair tie) soon guys ; ) Thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first time I visited this place it was a disaster. When I walked in the front desk girl was giving her latte order to a friend instead of checking me in. Each service felt completely rushed. Even the valet was terrible. I left my one star review immediately and the owner called me directly within 20 minutes. She nearly begged for another chance to win my business.
I came back and red-did my entire services as she promised and they even tossed in a few extra add on services to my waxing and facial. The front desk people were alert and knew exactly who I was when I arrived. At the end, the manager checked me out, had a hand written thank you card with a box of candy- albeit candy that gives my anaphylaxis, and early said she appreciated the second chance. They really tried to make this a better experience.
Overall I'd say they redeemed themselves mostly. My preferred spa across the nation is a Japanese day spa where you're encouraged to relax. There are 30 minute blocks between services so a 3-4 service appointment can be 6 hours. It's glorious. I still felt a bit rushed here, but I believe it's because they were trying to make things seamless. They don't have a sauna or steam room to relax in between appointments, just the quiet rooms.
Sadly, their valet still sucks- which even though it's not technically part of them, it's still part of the experience. I waited 20 minutes for my car and then had to ask the dude, even though I was standing in front of him the entire time, where my car was. They "didn't see the text request come through". I ended up waiting 30 minutes for my car.
I'd give this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās nice location, but I disappointed š with staff. I recommend if you donāt have American accent and you donāt American citizens donāt go to this place. Really, when I was in Orlando,Florida I like Woodhouse, but in Nashville itās so horrible šŖš I recommend donāt lost your money in this place! Actually, when I arrived, I called about the parking because I canāt find any spot for parking and she told me I can park in the hotel. Second, I paid my bill in the Woodhouse $96 for massage. The parking isnāt big issue for me. Next, when I was inside spa room and the therapy do it the massage for me. She said you was late 5 minuets. She cut off my time. I came for relaxing not argument with therapy about time. Really, Iām despondent š with the Woodhouse spa in Nashville. I came for relaxing not fighting or be angry. I hope š¤ you accept my advice to employers or owner or manger teach or learn your staff how be polite with non Americans citizens or the people speak English, but didnāt have American accent. Today Sunday July 29th I was in JW Marriott. The staff was polite and I was late 5 minuets. Really, they didnāt say anything like Woodhouse staff. I do it Pedicure and massage. They charged me $304 if you want I can send my bill to you by email if you donāt believe me or you can call the JW Marriott if you want. However, I recommend to send your staff and therapies to JW Marriott or Woodhouse in Orlando, Fl for training and polite customers from different countries. They didnāt have American accent or non...
