We arrived in San Antonio on the weekend of July 7th, to see the fantastic 1st annual Freedom Fest 2018 here at the Vibes. What a great kickoff and lineup by the Kronic Productions staff. There was a little confusion outside with our Uber driver, due to the old Rock Box art on the building exterior but forgotten when we were in line with all the anticipation and excitement with the rock fans in attendance! And we loved those grand doors outside, wooden with metal hinges and rivots to give it a that good Vibes rustic theme!! Back to the fantastic lineup... opening tribute great band and Phil Lynott lookalike Think Lizzy... A Tribute to Thin Lizzy. How fun to pick these guys to open a summer Rock festival! I can't think of a better way than to join in the songs with an audience singalong, as if we were all in an Irish Pub, drinking Guinness together!!! Then next have Texas' own guitarist and band here by Van Wilks. Great guitarist and slide Player. Along with his new album release 21St Century Blues, his first album in 10 years. He introduced that he co-wrote the song "Drive by Lover" with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top fame, which was originally written for their 2012's La Futura. I love that crunchy guitar sound...Texas style!!! Next only the old school hard rock radio fans would recognize this band, The Godz who have performed in San Antonio before at the Majestic Theatre in 1986 and so on, beginning with The Godfather Saturday night shows on KISS FM radio. I was at the 2015 Alamo City Music Hall Moxy gig, actually it was the first annual big Kronic Productions Joe Anthony tribute gig, so this is the reason for being here this year in July. And I will return, to carry on down that FM heyday highway, this coming October, God willing, to see another Joe Anthony tribute with alumni bands Legs Diamond and the Killer Dwarfs. The only complaint of the evening was from my girlfriend, who was breaking in a new pair of heels this weekend and ended up the evening sitting along the side wall, on the floor. She said the owners are cheap enough for not installing benches along the side walls for those who needed breaks from the crowd crunch. She did compliment the place earlier, for having a huge warehouse 'Copter blade fan in there to keep us cooler while in attendance. Well hopefully, there will be the proper installations remodeled by this fall, in case she decides to try out a new pair of pumps for Legs Diamond! And no Moxy meet and greet for the public this time so I’m including pics from the first event. They should have done one this time since it was advertised as a video shoot for upcoming release. So enjoy my pics if you did not attend...

Typically I like this place.. however.. I went today on November 3rd because it’s an all age event. I got kicked out by a manager who refused to give me his name:. 5’ 3” red shirt.. dark hair.. he claimed I was causing problems with the bar staff.. which was ABSOLUTELY untrue!!! The bar staff allowed me to keep my Louis Vuitton bag behind the bar while I danced the night away with my child. I still don’t understand why a manager would refuse to give his name. He completely embarrassed me in front of my child with absolutely no reason to do so!!! If you want to pretend that the club shouldn’t have a child there during a show then state that a child shouldn’t be there after a certain time. Don’t make the parent out to be the bad guy when the parent didn’t do anything bad to deserve it. Please contact me and I will give you the exact time and date this occurred. November 3rd between 10: 00pm and 10:30pm. There was no reason for me to get kicked out.. absolutely no reason!!! Check the cameras!!! I even called the phone number to find out his name. The number that is provided tells me to chose the number 5 to reach somebody and then tells me no one can be reached due to a high call volume. I would not have left a $1200 purse behind the bar just to cause a problem with the bartender. His excuse was obscured. I spent most of my time buying hot Cheetos and dancing… please check the cameras.. I am looking into a civil suit against this venue.. this was completely embarrassing and for no...

Absolutely awful and rude door staff. Stood in line for entry and when we arrived at the front I noticed they were patting down people and checking bags, so I took my vape and phone out of my pocket thinking that would be easy for them and they wouldn't have to ask. The lady said there were no vapes allowed inside, and I asked why we couldn't just turn them off and put them away. She repeated that they were not allowed inside and we could put them in our car. We took an uber so we did not have our car, which I commented on. She then said "throw them in the trash or a bush then". We weren't throwing anything away or in a bush. My husband ended up taking an uber home to put our vapes there. Our friend and I stayed and went to the back of the line to try again. When we got to the lady again, she wanted to check my purse, so I opened it for her (it's a mini backpack) and she stuck her entire arm in my bag and was digging around and then said "there aren't any vapes in here are there?" As she grabbed handfuls of receipts and feminine products. I am perfectly fine with having my purse checked, but there is no reason to be digging around in my purse like that.

Extremely rude and disrespectful and I will never be returning to this venue specifically because of her. Especially after seeing we are not the only people who have had problems with her.

The lady who checked my ID was a...

Great first concert for my son. Great sound, large space, great drinks, great food truck that night, nice space for the merch. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful. I was able to grab a vip seat after the first act for us. I didn't know about the seats prior. It was just safer for my son and he could see better. Worth the $60 for that alone. You don't get service up there though, it was messy, and hard to move the metal blockers every time we went down. For my son, worth it - but I probably wouldn't pay that if I was with another adult. Security was good. They're a little over the top with how close they get to looking in your cup and at your wrists, but I get it.

Don't park in open lot across road if you're going to vibes event center. Tow truck driver drug this front wheel drive vehicle out of spot and it made a horrible noise. Probably messed up transmission, they grabbed it from front after dragging it out, they knew better. They will tow you, use event parking(20$+/-) or public parking under bridge(5$). Show was good, lots of restrooms, nice fans. 24oz beer 13$. Update - saw a 2nd show here. Bexar towing had 3 trucks hauling off vehicles from the lot next door. I saw women crying on my way out and drunk guys freaking out. DO NOT PARK IN THAT LOT. PARK UNDER BRIDGE 5$ OR IN EVENT LOT FOR 20$ +/-
