My family has taken hop on hop off busses in several cities and the guides in Savannah are the type to actually narrate the tour. They are entertaining and informative, especially Mike and Cindy. Cindy in particular was extremely kind and generous, making sure that everyone got to their desired destinations at the end of the day. With such service, I highly recommend bringing cash to tip all of your drivers.

I recently took the Old Town Trolley Tour in Savannah and was extremely disappointed with the experience. Despite its reputation, the tour was marred by significant overbooking. At multiple stops, passengers, including myself, had to wait for 2-3 trolleys to pass by before being able to board, resulting in delays of about 30 minutes each time. This not only disrupted our schedule but also diminished the overall enjoyment of the tour. The frustration and inconvenience were palpable among many passengers. Be prepared to be frustrated right off the bat. Once you show up to the park, you will need to get in line. Once you get to the bus, they will then tell you that you need to pay for parking, you will need your tag number. The Machine may or may not work. If it doesn't work you have to go inside the building. They will tell you to pay once you get back. Now, your not sure about the credit card that you used? The driver was an old British guy, very angry at the world. He hushed all of us a couple of times on the trolley before he would leave, like a teacher to a class of kids.
