Food was amazing. Could not go wrong. I HIGHLY recommend using cash while you are here. Had the "girl who checked me out" charge me twice on my card. Refunded it in cash and then charged me a THIRD time to get a tip! By the second time I had realized that she had charged me she played it off as an accident and refunded me then two days later the third charge popped up with an even higher tip amount!!!! Excuse me if you can't get it right the first or second time you ain't getting a tip from me boo. Card CANCELLED! Charge DISPUTED!!! Try again honey. You ain't getting that money from me especially if you are trying to steal it!!!!! Update I've edited my review to refer to your employees as something other than a "server" To the restaurant owner who replied to me. If you want to have a staff that brings your patrons their food even if it's "fast food" and don't want them to get a tip because you don't want to call them servers then don't put a tip option available on your check out! That would have saved me a lot of time and headache from you establishment fast food or not! Don't deny you have someone working for tips which I as someone who worked in the service industry would refer to as a "server" whether it's "fast casual" or whatever you want to call it. Also don't have a "hostess" or whatever you want to call them seat "customers" with "menus" if you don't want to refer to them as that. Your "employees" stole money from me and I want it back! And I hope everyone on here sees this review so they know to be careful with their credit cards at this "fast casual food shack". YES I did eat there with my husband and mother and father. I got your shack attack (amazing food) two drinks my husband shared a slice of key lime pie (not the best) plus my husbands...
Read moreExtremely disappointing. I’m quite familiar with a Cajun seafood boil and I was really surprised with how bad this was.
Service was amazing. We were greeted promptly with an enthusiastic smile and everyone was super friendly and helpful the entire time. Unfortunately this is where the good experience ends.
Clam Chowder: cream soup. No flavor. No clam. Maybe one piece of potato floating around in there. Jalapeño crab poppers: good, but obviously frozen straight from the distributor. (Not really an issue, we actually finished these) Hush puppies: again, frozen straight from a distributor. Not terrible, but you have to pay extra for a dipping sauce for them. Low Country Boil: shrimp was tiny and mushy. Hard to peel and not easy to remove the poop line. Never been to a place that doesn’t offer butterflied shrimp to make it easier. Can pay extra to get deveined and peeled shrimp 🙄 / sausage wasn’t bad but the casing was as tough and hard to chew through. / potatoes and corn were good. I mostly ate potatoes. Crawfish: ……..so bad. I’ve literally NEVER sent food back to the kitchen before. But today I did. The crawfish tasted terrible. Like dirt. I know they’re “mud bugs” but I love crawfish and these just weren’t it. Even covered it sauce, it was gross. Maybe they were old? Fried catfish nuggets: tasted like fishy water. Not even fishy… but fishy water. Had one piece and moved on. Fried shrimp: edible, but I’ve had better from Checker’s. However, I was extremely grateful that they were willing to take back the crawfish and give us fried shrimp instead. Like I said before, the service was great.
Overall I would not come back...
Read moreHighly disappointing, felt robbed of my $65! Extremely over hyped! Savannah, you've disappointed this culinary journalist.
Should have listened to the gentleman by the bathroom that said it wasn't worth it. Yet, I like to give establishments the benefit of the doubt.
The clam chowder had more of a soup like consistency, very watery and salty in taste, lacking any other flavors.
Extremely disillusioned by the clam stripes, most of the plate was just fried batter clumps, in the picture you can clearly see the clamp stripes vs the rest of batter clumps. What a sham!
The shack cone was made wrong by kitchen, and when it was mentioned to staff, they all had an attitude change, clumped up in a group and started looking at our table and snickering, extremely unprofessional but I guess when the management hires immature children to run an establishment that's the result. When the new chicken cone was brought, it was all cone and seemed like half a chicken strip cut into chunks. Another disappointment.
The shrimp po' boy yet another disappointment, why you ask? Well, the menu description states overstuffed and what you get looks nothing like the image, NOTHING! Just look at the photo.
The peel and eat shrimp had roughly 15 pieces and absolutely no flavor, not even a little dipping sauce is offered on side to dip shrimp into.
Fooled me once...hope they don't fool you too. I'm sure there has to be better choices for seafood...
