Pho 55 — Restaurant in Prague

Family-run restaurant near tourist attractions in the city center of Czech Republic. When we entered the store at night, he found that there was no one inside except us. There were no other customers in the store. We sat inside for a while. A waiter came out. His service was very good.

Although his English was not very good, he could still communicate basically. Although the decoration of the whole restaurant is good and it is also very large, the fact that only we are in the store makes me feel very strange.

Nevertheless, the food is still very good and the price is very cheap. At least it is worth the money. But I think the soup is a bit too heavy in MSG. Later, the owner said he was from Vietnam. I personally think that it is Vietnamese who made the Vietnamese soup. I am more confident in guaranteeing it.

Achtung! Geheimtippalarm! Unsere Erfahrung bei Pho55 begann damit, dass wir beinahe nicht ins Restaurant kamen, weil die Tür klemmte und die Türklinke kurz davor war abzufallen. Nachdem wir diese Herausforderung gemeistert hatten, wurden wir herzlich empfangen und durften uns einen der vielen leeren Tische in dem doch eher großen Restaurant aussuchen. Die Speisekarte, welche vom Aussehen eher an einen Schnellimbiss mit mangelnder Qualität erinnert, wurde uns schnell gebracht und nach kurzer Bedenkzeit entschieden wir uns für eine Pho mit Tofu und Gebackenem Hähnchen auf Thai Curry mit Reis. Trotz mangelnder Englischkenntnisse der Bedienung klappte das Bestellen ohne Probleme. Unser bisheriger Eindruck: Authentisch, aber mal schauen wo die Reise hinführt. Nach kurzer Wartezeit wurde uns die Pho - kurz danach das Curry- gebracht. Die Pho war wunderbar würzig und konnte uns direkt überzeugen. Aber Achtung… Für Koriandergegner ist das keine gute Wahl. Nun zum Curry: Wow! Geschmacksexplosion. Das Curry selbst war unglaublich aromatisch, herzhaft und würzig. Außerdem angenehm scharf. Das Hähnchen dazu zart und gut gebacken. Beide Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend groß und ließen uns satt und zufrieden zurück. Das absolute Highlight: Der Preis. Insgesamt haben wir umgerechnet nur ca 13€ gezahlt. Ein so gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis haben wir selten gesehen.

Fazit: Absolute Empfehlung. Insofern man die Tür aufbekommt ohne auf einmal nur die Klinke in der Hand zu halten. Wer in Prag gut und günstig essen möchte, kommt um diesen Laden...

The portions were big and the food was cheap. I had Pho and must say- I have had better. It was a little flavourless and the meat really chewy and overcooked. The restaurant was not very welcoming (Interior /atomspherewise) and there was an annoying beeping noise every few seconds. The service was nice though.

I just wanted to give a honest feedback because the rating really gave me a wrong impression and I was disappointed. The value for money...
