We booked the double or twin room with Pyramids view for one night during Ramadan. The view from the 4th floor bedroom's balcony is amazing and also from the 5th floor restaurant. You can watch and hear most of the Pyramids Light and Sound show in the evening - the restaurant gets busy for this. The room was clean and suitably equipped with kettle and television (some English speaking channels) The shower in the ensuite was very good. Shampoo & shower soap provided. Upon arrival our suitcases were brought up the stairs to the 4th floor reception. We had welcome drinks and the staff asked us which excursions we would like to take. A taxi was organised for a return trip to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Also the following morning a horse and cart ride with a guide around the Pyramids. The breakfast includes cold meats, egg and the freshly cooked falafel was lovely. Also Juice and coffee There is a notable Police presence in the local area and we were told this is to help keep tourists safe.
The area is quite noisy and music is played late into the evening. After the Pyramid Sound and Light Show there was a late night music event past Midnight. The balcony doors and windows do not reduce the noise very much. The area is quiet in the early morning before Pyramids open. The streets around the area are quite littered although this can be typical of other places we have visited in Egypt. Also as typical with tourist areas in Egypt, there are lots of people trying to sell you tours (inc. camel rides or horse carts), taxi rides or souvenirs. We tried to minimise our exposure to this by arranging transport through the hotel Remember the price on everything in Egypt is negotiated so agree a price you...

Fantastic value. Pretty basic but clean and comfortable. The big plus here is the team running it. It’s a family and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. ||||Food and beer if you wish is brought in except breakfast which is done in house and is delicious but simple. ||||The views are amazing, you’re yards from the pyramids gate, but some local construction has intruded just a bit. ||||A previous review mentioned the state of the lane accessing the hotel. This has now been sorted and it’s now paved (the owners of a few local properties clubbed together to get it done) and very clean. ||||I’d strongly recommend you book all your trips through the owner Mohammed. OK, you’ll probably pay a bit more but the guys he uses as guides and drivers are trusted friends or family and it’s in his interest to not organise a bad day out. Rambo in particular was great. Corruption and hassling tourists is big ticket stuff here, using trusted guys will ensure you don’t get ripped off when out and about. You’ll save money and grief in the long run!||||Overall, great value, lovely people, basic but safe, clean and I’d be back in a heartbeat. ||||Thanks to all the team there for a...
