Webby's Windrush Walk B&B Webbys Windrush Walk Apartment — Hotel in Cotswold District

This was my second stay at Webby . They have two houses . My partner and I stayed in the main house first time and all seemed ok apart from the uncomfortable bed . Which I didn’t point out as the lady seemed pleasant at breakfast . |My second visit, to show my family bourton on the water was a whole different story ,. I rang the lady direct having took her card . She said she could accommodate my family in her house next door . She asked us for cash only, so we got her the cash. Upon going to bed we all thought the bedding didn’t seem fresh , upon inspection it was stained ( obviously slept in if you get my drift ) , there was hairs on my pillow, the towels that were rolled up neatly were wet and smelt used . One of the kids duvets had poo on it ! There was a pile of dead insects in lounge . I tried to ring the lady but no answer . She did not ring back either .Unfortunately my older son was very ill , other wise we would have left . The grandchildren slept on the small sofas with coats over them . My son and daughter in law put the valance sheet over the bed and slept on that with their clothes on as did I . I have tried to reason with the lady since our stay but she doesn’t want to know , apart from accusing us of damaging the place which I would never do in a million years . I am not that sort of person . Perhaps she means the metal strip my son took up as it was half off and my grandaughter cut her foot open on it , just to make things worse .|It wrecked my 60th birthday . I felt bad I had said stay there to my family . Don’t be fooled by the Pringles and chocolates she leaves . Check your beds! The rest of the house was disgusting that she said we could use . Old food in fridge , washing machine full with disgusting sheets mixed with (putting it politely ) used sponges full of human hair . Wardrobes had old clothes in them . We have many pictures to back up my review . It saddens me to leave a review like this . It’s a first for me ☹️|It was obvious she had not cleaned or changed bedding ect . Happy to take £200 off us though |I think some kind of refund would have been...

We booked for 7 people in the house next to the owners because my parents had previously stayed in the main house and had a good experience despite the owner being "scatty".|Upon arrival in the late afternoon the first comment we got was that we said we would arrive at 12. This was despite us messaging and saying we would be later and the owner had replied!|Then she told us she wasn't going to cook breakfast for 7 as it was too many. As a result, she knocked £5.70 per person off the bill which is obviously a fraction of the price of breakfast in the village.|The house has been occupied that day and you can see that it simply hadn't been cleaned. Immediately upon entering we could see the kitchen was a disgrace. (No wonder the owner said don't cook!). The sink was blocked with hair and the owners things were scattered literally everywhere. The toilet and shower stank and were piled high with stuff. The fridge was full of out of date food too.|The main living area had a lot of dead flies and woodlouse on the floor. A card the previous occupants had left was still sitting on the shelf illustrating that the owner hadn't even looked in the room much less clean it.|Worse was to come when we discovered only a few of the towels had been cleaned (or not used by the previous occupiers). We ended up taking the owners washing out of the washing machine (yes it was just left in there!), and washing some ourselves.|When it came to bed time we could see none of the sheets had been washed and there were urine stains on the pull out bed. We ended up stripping the beds and used the bottom valance as the bed sheet.|The whole place was badly maintained with loose fixtures and screws sticking out. I ended up having to take up the carpet stay because of the screws sticking out (it was extra wide to hide a frayed carpet).|You can tell that the owners are simply not clean people and so we feel we dodged a bullet by not having the breakfast.|Given other reviews and my parents own experience previously, I would say the main house is ok but this one is...
