Huh where does one start for starters? The waitress was very slow. I’m not sure if she was new or if she was just tired or she simply didn’t wanna serve, but her customer service was not the best. Now let’s talk about the food. We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday And the food is very dry. The food has no seasoning. The food has no taste. The shrimp was literally thrown in the skillet and cooked with no seasoning. The majority of us got the garlic shrimp fettuccine or Alfredo they don’t give you enough sauce. The noodles have no taste. The sauce has no taste. The sauce is so thick that the noodles absorb the sauce and gives the pasta a dry taste. We had to come home and season our food to our liking honestly, the food was not good at all. It was not good at all. I’m not sure who’s in the back kitchen But they need to hire someone who knows how to please A person‘s taste buds I really can’t get past how bad the food was. It just wasn’t good. The salad that comes with the dinner had way more cabbage and carrots than lettuce and I’m not sure what was going on with the ranch dressing. It was thin heavily seasoned, but still no taste. Well I would say it was seasoned with pepper. It did not taste good they probably should just use store brought ranch dressing like the food was bad it says that Two of the ingredients I believe were shallots and lemon. You taste more garlic than anything and no one wants to walk around with garlic breath. We had seven people in our party and the waitress gave us two small loaves of bread to me that just didn’t make sense. The food was really bad the dressing the salad the shrimp was cooked perfect but it had no taste. The food was more so it seemed like it was catered for Diabetic elderly people. They have to eat, but they can’t have any seasoning on anything I would not go back it’s been well over 10 years since the last time I went, but I would not go back not to this location not to another location not to this company not to the Sister companies. I feel like I paid for noodles and shrimp and I also didn’t like the fact that they put the salad dressing on my salad I can do that myself. The salad does not come with cheese. It’s simply lettuce, cabbage carrots, and they give you they put the dressing on. So then they give you when you’re celebrating a person‘s birthday they gave my friend cheesecake which is fine however, the sauce they drizzled at the bottom of the plate put the cheesecake on top no topping It literally look like they took Philadelphia cream cheese and took it from the package directly into a graham cracker pie crust chilled it and served it disgusting and then, normally at the majority of restaurants when it’s someone’s birthday, more than one staff join in to sing happy birthday the waitress literally stopped singing halfway through the song I do not recommend I do not recommend. I do not recommend we will never go back to this company And even with Knowing that after I leave this review, the company will respond, apologizing for the staff and for the food, but they really need to hire a sous chef or someone that knows how to make sauces knows how to use seasoning or even has a culinary background in the...
Read moreMy family and I visited Sunday afternoon, 9/3, and I had made reservations. It is my daughter’s favorite place so we went for her birthday. For those who complain about parking, this location is downtown and parking, while it needs to be considered, is not the fault of the restaurant and thus the restaurant should not be judged based on the parking, the lack thereof or the cost for parking. After arriving, we were seated soon afterwards and the hostess politely asked if we preferred a table or booth. I appreciated her asking rather than just seating us at their discretion. While this is a minor issue, they failed to provide a kid’s menu for my other daughter who is 10 years old, until I asked if a kid’s menu was available. On a positive note, they try to make accommodations for kids, if something is not on the kid’s menu. After receiving our drinks, our waitress did not provide straws so we had to wait for her return to request straws. Another issue we encountered was my wife ordered the Caesar salad for the 1st course instead of the soup or house salad, but the waitress failed to tell us there would be an up charge. We also ordered the Caesar salad with the dressing on the side which the waitress acknowledged but they put the dressing on the salad. As a positive, the waitress offered to correct it, but my wife just accepted it rather than sending it back. Had she known there was an up charge, she would have returned it. While it is a personal opinion, they put too much dressing on their salads so the lettuce is almost “swimming”. We ordered an appetizer of Garlic Cheese Bread, which the menu described as a generous portion. The bread was good and definitely recommended but the portion size was not as “generous” as described in the menu. Basically two small slices per person for a family of 4. Each of us ordered a different variation of spaghetti including Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter, Marinara Sauce and Rich Meat Sauce. The main courses were plentiful and flavorful and that too I would recommend. To finish the meals, I ordered Spumoni and my family ordered vanilla ice cream. Again, no complaints whatsoever, it was delicious. Overall, my family and I enjoyed the food and had a very good dinner. The service could have been better as they seemed to miss on the details. The issues were minor but the details are important and should be emphasized as much as the food. Personally, as a suggestion to their servers, I would recommend they ask their patrons if they have been there before and if not, ask questions regarding their preferences then offer suggestions. Again, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend The Old...
Read moreOkay. So my service and food were okay. I can’t complain about that.
It’s the service that the two tables received behind us. If he had been my waiter we would’ve had a “Come To Jesus” moment. I am here for a women’s Bible conference. So is 8,999 others…so being that this place is so close to the convention center they were BUSY. There was a party of between 17-20 of them. This man was YELLING at them. He was told to only expect 16 and he was PISSED. Rolled his eyes as he walked away in frustration. I understand but come on.
First, he told them this was not the time to play musical chairs. That they must sit in the seat they sat in. I’m sorry but WHAT?! These women weren’t young misbehaving teenagers having a social event.
Secondly, once it was time for the checks to come out he told them that they could all pay together instead of separately because that would help it go by faster. That it would take him FOREVER for him to do them individually. After dwelling on this, I realized what he was really doing. He was making sure he got his tip. I know that most restaurants have a “over a table of 8” policy.
Then he was outside smoking with his manager and another employee complaining about the whole situation. I know there are bad days. I get that. But you work customer service. Not once did I hear those ladies say anything negative about...
