Definitely an old motel they tried to "dress up". No ice machine, downstairs is a CREEPY covered old indoor pool And I'm guessing wasn't supposed to have access to guests, but I only found that walking around trying to figure out where the closest ice machine was since there is no information on where I can find one in the room.... But let me back up... I originally posted this review 2 days into my trip but now that my 5-day stay has ended, I would like to edit my review entirely and include videos... For the record, we rented THREE rooms total and there were NINE of us in my party that stayed here: #1 there is absolutely no security whatsoever, no security lights in the back where your cars are parked, no security motion lights at all to see your way up the stairs at night to get to the top floor, no security guards or people on golf carts Acting as security patrolling any form of the parking lots. There were numerous long LOUD parking lot arguments till midnight, people banging around like this was a college campus on a Saturday night, people arguing loudly and slamming doors and drawers in their rooms, there were teenagers playing tag in the bushes and coming out of the woods at any given time In the middle of the night between our cars and building halls.... The sense of security was not urgent or present at all as you can enter any building without a wristband...the only light cked doors were our rooms. #2 They do not clean the buildings at all. The hallways were unvacumed the entire 5 days we were there, there is a sign in the room that says press "0" and the front desk will give you any extra toiletries or towels that you need..... I called Friday and Saturday twice in the morning and once in the afternoon and no one answered the phone. Sunday I called while we were getting ready to go to the water park and the phone rang for about 5 minutes, I ended up calling the main hotel number from my cell phone and somebody answered within 30 seconds while I was on the hotel phone still waiting for someone to answer. 30 minutes later someone came out and unlocked a closet and handed us towels and that was it... No cleaning, no nothing. #3 the showers and sinks do not drain in the rooms, THAT WAS NOT JUST AN ISOLATED ONE ROOM SITUATION, AGAIN WE RENTED THREE ROOMS AND ALL THREE ROOMS HAVE THE SAME EXACT ISSUE and the ventilation fan in the bathrooms does not work either, The only "air" in the room that works is the air conditioner. #4 this building clearly is or was at some point in time Employee lodging as employees have been pushed further back and you can tell where their lodging is now as they walk to and from work all the time through the woods. Nobody's paying attention to anything in the building as they are not clocked in yet.... Goes back to my earlier comment that there is no form of security for any of the resorts hotel buildings..... You do have your occasional one-person that comes through banging on the doors to Make sure that people are checked out of their rooms but other than that the only employees that we saw working were either moving towels for the "main buildings" out front or employees walking through the trees by our cars on their way to work.... And clearly none of them are going to be paying attention because they're not clocked in yet and they don't get paid to patrol What's going on between their employee lodging and the time they get to work.
When we first started coming to mt. Olympus years ago for our summer family trips, It was the Pinnacle of water Park hotels..... My honest opinion from this last stay is you can find better quality at motel 8.......the only saving Grace is the fact that we had the access to the water parks Otherwise this review would be a...
Read moreI'm not sure one start is even appropriate. Lucky for my family, I carry a full size pack of antibacterial wipes in my truck. Place is filthy. Prob a combo of very poor cleaning, poor work ethic, and a huge gap under our door. The gap allowed many bugs in. There also seemed to be little flying gnats coming from the shower drain. The floors were absolutely filthy! We could not walk around in the room without shoes or sandals on, even for a bathroom break at night. Desks were sticky and visible dirty, wipes I used we're visibly soiled after wiping down. Walls are paper thin. There is no way that the beds are Queens sized, no way. I didn't measure, but again, no way! Double charged, receipt stated $331, bank draft $624, nobody can give explanation, will be filing a grievance with the bank. This company is scammers. We didn't bother to call and complain based on the feedback we already read online, because it would just add fuel to my raging fire. I don't want their nonscensicle copy and pasted response that they give to everybody to call their 800 number, cause they will not do anything, they are just there to line their pockets. It's sad that they are turning the Dells into this. It was not like this when we...
Read moreRoom is on the strip but you’re not allowed to sit on it and watch the automotion show despite being told we could and paying a little over 600 for two rooms. Property manager who wouldn’t identity himself(balding, overweight, short) demanding us to return to our rooms when we were watching the show and told us we would be evicted if we continued to use our megaphones despite nowhere in the room contract did it mention this. If you disagree with him he will either threaten to evict you from the motel or simply assault you. Don’t waste your time or money on this disgusting hotel anyways, they don’t dust nor clean the rooms, both of ours had cobwebs in the corners and dust all over items in the room, the towels wernt replaced from the previous tenets in the room. Flys and spiders and June bugs all over. Absolutely not worth the 150+ a night they ask. If you’re gonna stay anywhere stay at the Dell Creek Motel down the strip, he refuses to sell out to mt O and won’t let the police push him around. Nobody stay here in 2024 or...
