Thunderbird Resort Motel — Hotel in Lake Delton

Book at your own risk. Reserved 3 condos in January of 2025 on Booking.com (which is where their website brings you to book) for a family trip at the end of July 2025. Fast forward to end of June 2025, and we only received rental agreements for 2 of the 3 buildings. Called Vacasa, the company who manages the property, and they claimed they only have 2 of the condos resevered as the 3rd was no longer available because the owner decided they were going to be coming that weekend. Vacasa brushed us off and told us to call Booking.com. We called Booking.com (who still had us down for 3 reservations) and Vacasa told Booking.com the same - they only have 2 reservations and won't have the 3rd for us. Obviously that doesn't work - we booked 3 because we needed 3. NEVER got any sort of notice or communication that the 3rd unit got cancelled, thankfully we noticed before we got there.

It's a shame because we used to stay frequenlty in the summer and always enjoyed our time there, but since they've gone to private owners with a property management company, it's...

This place was amazing!!! I was not sure that I wanted to leave a review to keep this little gem a secret :) . My husband, my 5 & 3 year olds and myself thought this was the best vacation ever - mostly because of our accommodations.

The house was very clean, the grounds are beautiful. We caught a total of 29 fish off the little pier!!! It was so fun!

Don't forget to bring: Paper Towels, Kleenex & Groceries if you are going to eat in. Beach & Bath Towels, Shampoos & Conditioners. That's it! oh... and your fishing poles!!! There is a bait shop @ walking distance -
