We LOVE this restaurant. We discovered it completely on accident just looking for a place downtown to eat when we first moved to OKC proper. The lunch buffet is all we have experience with here, but I can tell you it's a wonderful selection of pastas, shockingly good pizza, and the usual assortment of salads and dessert-fare you might find at any Italian buffet. What really sets this place apart, however, is the owner. He is the hardest working man you'll ever meet in your life. Always happy to assist if you have a dietary preference, answer questions about the food, get your drinks filled, you name it. You won't leave hungry and you can always rely on having great service. As a bonus, the convenient location makes it a great "quick lunch" in my experience for anywhere downtown as you can be in/out within thirty minutes if you're in a hurry. If you're unsure, yes you can just walk in and begin serving yourself food then sit down. You pay on the way out. If he catches you on the way in, he'll even have your drinks waiting for you at a table by the time you get your first bits of food! For my Wife and I, we get out for about $25 for the two of...
Read moreI eat here probably once a month or so with friends who work downtown. The food is fantastic. Buffet usually consists of salad bar with lots of dressing options, a fantastic lasagna, undressed penne and spaghetti next to sauced meatballs, alfredo and tomato sauces, cheese stuffed ravioli, minestrone soup, breadsticks and four kinds of pizza: supreme, pepperoni, veggie, and cheese. Fountain drinks are always fizzy and service is consistently very good and down to earth. Anyways, this place is extra super busy at lunch time, but I've never waited more than a few minutes for a table.
Buffet for two with drinks and tip is usually about $20 as of 2/7/14. If you'd like to leave a tip with plastic, you'll have to let them know at the checkout since they ring up credit cards using a tablet near the door. Highly...
Read moreThe owner/operator of this restaurant is the best at what he does! When he's not being your cashier, he spends his time cleaning tables, refilling drinks, keeping track of what's on the line, and otherwise taking care of your needs as a customer. He will often ask you what you'd like to drink before you've grabbed your first plate, and has it on a table waiting for you by the time you've gathered your meal. His warmth and professionalism are second only to how much he cares about your experience. And while it's a very subjective topic, I really like his food (especially the Alfredo sauce)! Italian Express is a small Italian buffet, in the middle of downtown OKC, but it gets 5 stars from...
