SooTea bubble tea shop & more — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Went here while I was visiting amsterdam since it was the closest boba shop around. First off the boba was fine, I had a lost gravity lychee milk tea, and the tea itself was decent, fairly sweet but solid, the problem however was with the tapioca, the tapioca pearls were strangely dry and maybe incorrectly cooked? They were generous with the tapioca but it wasnt very good so it was only an average boba tea at best. Furthermore, the boba was kind of expensive at €8 for a large with extra tapioca. Additionally the interior was strangely and kind of lazily themed with vaguely asian decor kind of just thrown around the place along with a ball pit??? The seating is very minimal and not particularly comfortable aswell.

TLDR: Average boba, semi expensive, weird interior, and would not recommend or go again, BUT it's not that bad that i would really push people away from going, you can just probably find better places...

Pro: cute pink store, friendly and helpful staff, sturdy cups, funny drink names, location, enough options, my drink was good (I did have better) Con: no pictures of the drinks on the menu or online to see what you’re ordering, the store is cute, but detail in execution is lacking. It looks like it got setup by someone who doesn’t have store experience. The best spot to sit in the place is blocked by a useless ball pit - even without corona a bacteria pool and the lady in front of me put her giant dog in it. Eek. The chairs are for tiny people and it’s not welcoming to actually meet and sit there, the kitchen area is kind of puzzled together, the shop items aren’t presented well and the pink painted wood already has a lot of scuff marks even though it just opened. All small details, but together it just doesn’t wow. It has potential. Hope this store...

I have had many boba teas from different places. This was one of the unpleasant ones. The smell in the space was like a cheap toilet spray, the decor was trying to be cute but there was clutter and open plastic bags of stuff laying around.

The picture of the drinks where promising, the delivery was way below this. No swirls and fun looking like on the picture. The ingredients where unclear, one menu said it would include a topping in the price, the other said it didn't. So I paid to mush.

Als the cashier was of no help, I don't mind speaking English if dutch is not an option. But not being able to speak Dutch or English, not understanding a simple auesty: with what topping comes by drink? And getting totally lost in 2 simple orders after this question. Was very disappointing. And it took very long to...
