Luciens — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I would love to give this place 10 stars if it were possible. Last week on vacation I had a massive circulatory problem and just happened to walk past this restaurant. I sat on their chairs outside and when my situation didn't improve, my husband entered the restaurant with a request to contact emergency services for me (all in English). I have never seen how quickly and lovingly the entire staff looked after us. An employee called the emergency doctor and communicated with me repeatedly, while other employees saw my worried little daughter and distracted her with crayons, coloring pictures and cookies. They even offered to take care of my daughter if I needed to go to the hospital. Thank God I was helped on site in the ambulance and so I didn't have to go to the hospital. After the treatment, I returned to the restaurant, where they prepared a delicious pancake for my daughter and made me tea with a lot of love and kept asking about me and my health. 10 stars are not enough for this humanity, this warmth and of course the gastronomic service. If you are looking for quality and warmth - THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I would like to thank all the employees again very much ♥️♥️♥️ Best place ever...

Food is ordinary. 2 of us had the 50/50 pancakes with one half sweet and the other half savoury. Sounded like a good concept but didn't taste anything special (either of the two halves). The chicken pancake was quite a let down. The Gluwhein was extremely sweet. But in tourists hubs, such as Amsterdam, not all restaurants you walk into have amazing food. The ambience was good and plenty of places to sit. Problem was their use of technology. You have to order using a tablet and the app is awful. Our order could not be placed since 50/50 pancakes don't work on that app. After ordering half on the tablet and half verbally, we somehow managed to eat the food. We were let down by technology again when they could not generate a bill. After waiting for over 20 minutes the lady came and asked what we had ordered and another 10 minutes later produced a hand written receipt of the total, no printed bill in such a tech savvy restaurant. Not a fault of the staff who are overworked because the owner thought technology would solve all the problems. It could have, only if he/she invested properly in the technology as well rather than...

I recently dined at Luciens Restaurant and overall, had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the seafood dish I ordered, which was cooked to perfection and had a great balance of flavors. The ambience of the restaurant was also great, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The decor was modern and elegant, making it a great spot for a date night or special occasion.

Additionally, the waitstaff were incredibly friendly and attentive, specially we were much comfortable by the behaviour of a staff named Nahid Samad. He made sure that our drinks were always full and that our meals were cooked to our liking. He also provided great recommendations for dishes and drinks. I was particularly impressed with the waiter's behavior, as he was always smiling and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had a great dining experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Luciens Restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a great atmosphere. The food is top-notch, the ambience is cozy and elegant, and the waitstaff are friendly...
