Coffee & Cakes. — Restaurant in Amsterdam

just visited for cakes and drinks, stood waiting like lemons while the assistant was struggling to take payment from another patron, no acknowledgement that we were there until we finally asked wether we should just take a seat wherever. we used the app ‘lightening speed’ to order……….the app may fast but the service sure wasn’t. when our things arrived they bought the wrong tea to start which i had to take down and ask to be changed, the replacement was not good, they use tea sticks which are next to useless, after 5 mins it was still like milky water, ( also had to ask for milk and was looked at like an alien) returned to the counter and told them is was not good, so they poured down sink and told me that they are not the manager, and how they don’t control the tea etc,etc, no refund offered for the drink we paid for but was not able to drink. however credit where it is due, I have to say the cakes were nice and so was my daughters coffee, the surrounding were also pleasant. moral of the story……..If you’re a tea drinker and or don’t have plenty of time don’t bother. oh and the cups don’t have handles, not ideal with a hot drink unless your hands are made...

NEVER COMING BACK. OVERPRICED, NOT WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY. The worst customer service i ever experience. Me and my friends went there during our 30 minutes break from work to get coffee and cake, the employee told us to sit and wait for the order but after 15 minutes still nothing was delivered while I saw she already started serving customers who came and ordered later than us! We approached the employee to follow up our order but still no action taken and she just continue to serve other customers coming until it’s almost 30 min and still nothing. Told her that we will just go back for the coffee for the later break time to get our coffee we paid for! Got no apologies from the employee for the time she wasted on us! Terrible. And even after we came back for the coffee, it still took 10 min to...

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but I had to this time. This place is a complete SNAFU. The hired staff is completely oblivious. Not one looking a year above 22 years old. All Standing around with their mouths hanging open looking confused and disorganised. Tried to order 4 coffees. It took several attempts to explain the order. Added 4 desserts, all sitting in the dairy case and easily plated. That order seems to confuse the wait staff further. We were seated just beside the display case. One dessert showed up 10 min later, spoon handle covered in the sauce that was supposed to be on the cake. Second one showed up slightly burnt a few minutes later. 3rd came a few minutes after that.
