Disappointing Experience with GameStop's Limited Pokémon Card Release
I recently visited a local GameStop Lenox Mall during the release of a highly anticipated Pokémon Prismatic Super Premium Premium Collection set. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Despite GameStop's policy of limiting purchases to one per customer, I observed multiple individuals purchasing more than one item, effectively reducing the number of fans who had a chance to buy. This practice undermines the company's stated goal of ensuring more fans have the opportunity to experience these exciting releases .
When I called Assistant Manager "Johnny" to express my concerns and request the contact information for the district manager, he declined to provide any details. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to address customer concerns was disappointing and unprofessional.
GameStop's recent policy changes, including discontinuing pre-orders and implementing purchase limits, were intended to combat scalping and ensure fair access to products . However, the inconsistent enforcement of these policies and the unhelpful attitude of staff members suggest a need for better training.
