Extremely Disappointed – Unacceptable Customer Experience and Ongoing Refund Issue
I am appalled by my experience with Ann Taylor and feel compelled to share it to warn other customers. On April 18, 2025, I purchased an item ($39.50, item #38311888) and returned it the very next day, April 19, in perfect condition — unworn, unwashed, with tags and receipt — fully compliant with the company’s 30-day return policy.
Despite this, the store manager, Jessie C., refused to issue a refund to my original payment method, instead processing a store credit without my consent, citing her personal plans and long day as justification. I was told to call customer service, which I did, and spent 30 minutes on the phone only to be told the issue would be "escalated."
Since then, more than two months and over 10 emails later, I have still not received my refund. A few emails were answered, each time with the same vague message: “We’re looking into it.” No action. No resolution. No accountability.
This is unacceptable — not just for the amount involved, but for the utter lack of integrity and disregard for basic customer service. Ann Taylor’s return policy was clear, and I met every condition. Yet, I have been forced to chase a refund that should have taken minutes, not months.

Belinda was the BEST! She went out of her way to help and make sure we could find what I was looking for and if there was something I couldn’t find in the store she took time to look online and call another store. I could tell she loves what she does and really cares. Both ladies were very friendly and helpful and made me feel special. They were also very knowledgeable I can’t recommend them enough. If you are ever at the store ask for Belinda she is an GEM. Somebody needs to give her a raise lol her customer service was TOP NOTCH. I also noticed she was very patient and kind to the other lady who was in training and new, sometimes I have been in stores where a training staff member is not being treated well, I couldn’t help but notice this. I was able to find items I needed in jewel tones for my chocolate skin I love that no matter what shade you are you can always find something tasteful and that looks good on you in Anne Taylor.

Read moreThe rudest staff I have ever encountered in my life! It’s well known throughout the mall and at the corporate store how rude the staff at this location is. I purchased a pair of pants that had obviously been worn and that acted like they were doing me a favor in returning them but wouldn’t take any of the other items I had back. I explained to the manager that at the Rosedale location they’d taken things that were “final sale” back before and under these circumstances it’d be advantageous to make an exception especially since this was a horrible customer experience and that despite the fact it’s horribly inconvenience I’d just return the items there and the manger said she’d call them and tell them no to take my things back, like I’d done something wrong! I called the corporate office and made a complaint about my experience there and they are filing a formal complaint against the store and taking all of my items back and giving me some type of credit, which I’ll be making sure can be used at The Loft rather than Ann Taylor.
