Alas this location just doesn't do it for me. I've been to numerous Free People stores around the country and their customer service is probably the worst to date. So much for "Minnesota Nice". As a shopper I generally don't need help, but when I walk in a store at the very least say "Welcome". I understand that Free People doesn't usually have sales, so listing off every sale item like other stores is a little mundane. However some form of a greeting would be nice. I've walked into the store a total of ten times, purchased here twice and not once was I ever greeted. The ONE time I ever went to try something on, the sales associate made it seem as my wanting to try something on was a MAJOR inconvenience to her working on a mannequin. Don't get me started on checking out! Usually I have had to wait for an associate to realize that YES indeed I do intend to spend my money at their store. There have been a few times that I waited so long (with no one insight) that I just left the item at the counter and walked away from the store. However I must say that when someone finally did mosey on over to the counter, they were generally pleasant to exchange money for product with. It's pretty sad that the associates here are too self involved in what the store and themselves look like that they completely neglect their customers. I think I'll stick to online shopping with Free People from here on out, or shopping in another state apparently...
Read moreI love shopping at Free People, online or in-store however, this past Sunday’s experience had me very disappointed and did not want to even stay to browse or find something different. It took me until after I was standing at the checkout counter for 10 seconds to even be greeted. Both associates were looking down at their phones, and when I asked about a product to see if they had it in store, it was just a simple “No,” and then back to their phones. What happened to the friendly banter, maybe suggest something different or actually care that a customer is in the store like I’ve experienced in the past? I will not spend time or money in a store that has such poor customer service....
Read moreKaitlyn, I believe one of the managers, was great. I tried on some jeans and bought them, and then realized they were a little too big. I came back to exchange them and they did not have my size. She was going to the store in Edina to work the next day and made sure to check if they had the size even though the computer said they didn’t, and then called me to follow up and let me know they did. She was so unbelievably helpful, free people is lucky to have her...
