Just to be clear I would give this a zero rating if possible. I was treated like a peasant for no reason other than I beleive I was not wealthy.
I brought my ring in on 08/13 for a routine inspection and cleaning. After I left the ring was filthy. I returned to point it out and confirm it was actually inspected. The manger told me that this was years of buildup and it has to soak for hours and the best they could do is to put in a repair ticket and soak it. I cordially declined and assured her that the ring comes in for regular cleanings and inspections and was in no more than 8 months ago for a cleaning. At that time the ring was cleaned thourly. No build up at all and was sparkling. She insisted the ring had not been cleaned even though my records and hers reflected it was cleaned to perfection.? At that time to save further argument and being treated like a peasant I smiled and left. I went hime with a toothbrush, dawn dish detergent and warm water. No more that 5 minutes later the ring was sparkling cleand and beautiful. If she knew that I have spent over 10k (I know not a lot for the wealthy but a lot for me). The 10K was actually under my mother n laws name due to a surprise purchase I made for my husband. This ring in question wasn't of a lot of value however it was purchased since I work with my hands and can not wear the original wedding set ee bought which diamond is to high for working hands. I will never patron Kay jewlers again due to this horrific customer service experience. I think the sales people need to take a refresher course on humanity if that was ever taught to...
Read moreIncompetence that knows no bounds. In early November I went to Kay jewelers in Mall of America to have my watch battery replaced, I had done this in the past in the Mankato store without issues. My watch was checked in and sent off as was expected. I was told the process would take four to six weeks and that I would receive three phone calls, one when the watch was at the repair center, second when the repairs were completed and a third when the watch was ready to be picked up. I called the store three times never had a response mid-December. I then called the corporate office to check on the status; the informed me the watch was on itâs way back to the store and ready for pick up within the week. I stopped by the store first week of January and the watch was indeed ready for pickup; however the watch had been damaged. I was understanding with the situation and left the watch to be sent off for repairs. Again I was told the process would take about four to six weeks and that I would receive the same three phone calls. I called mid February to check on the status of the repair and received no answer. The stay home order went into effect two weeks later still no status update. June 23rd I received a phone call letting me know the watch would be ready for pick up within two weeks. I stopped by July 12th to pick up my watch. This is where I learned the watch was not actually ready for pick up because âthey sent it to âjewelry repairâ instead of âwatch repairââ so the watch was not ready. The incompetence of this store and the complete lack of ownership of the issues is...
Read moreNever returning to this location. Came in and spent $2,600 on a ring. Jess was my associate and had me pay an additional $60 to re-size it from a 7 to a 6.5. The next morning I was looking at my ring online because I was excited about getting it back in the right size. Then I noticed online had all the sizes of the ring available. Meaning Jess had me pay an additional $60 to re-size it instead of purchasing the one in my size online. This is a huge purchase for me and I feel like itâs super shady of her to have me pay an extra $60 on top of $2,600 to re-size the ring instead of just order me my size online at no extra cost OR cutting into my ring. Not to mention the re-sizing of the ring takes weeks to get back. While I was online I found a ring I liked even better. I decided to go back to Kay Jewlers and exchange the ring I bought for the one I like better (which is a $400 upgraded cost). I go into the store where I was met with Katy. Literally the rudest human to walk this planet. My friend was with me and we couldnât stop talking about Katyâs complete disrespect & belittling demeanor. I explained the situation to her and she basically told me âtoo bad so sad.â I ended up returning the 2carat diamond 14k gold ring and then buying a 3carat 18K gold one ONLINE so none of these women get my commission. FYI - all the 5 star reviews on here are because Jess walks you to their QR code and forces you to leave a review right then and there. Thanks ladies...
