My girlfriends surprised me with a hand lettering class for my Birthday on Monday (11/12). I was SO excited, as I've been wanting to take this class for over a year now. I am sad to say that I was highly disappointed with the class and the "instructor". We were each given a pen and printed out booklet to practice creative hand lettering. The instructor sat in her seat the entire time and when someone had a question about how to complete a particular letter they were struggling with, she offered no advice and didn't get out of her seat to help you. When I sign up for any type of class, I expect the instructor to circle the room, answer questions and offer help and encouragement to the group. Instead, she sat there and practiced her own hand lettering, while we all fumbled our way through the exercises. We didn't pay $28 a person to watch the instructor fill in their own hand lettering workbook. I could have facilitated this class in my own home for free and had a better experience. I love shopping at paper sourse. They have what I need. But if it's in a color I want and need to make my cards they may or may not have it in a size I need. But if I can't get that color I want and need then I choose something else close to it or a different color in that same size. I love all there stamps and items they sell in there stores. Employees are friendly, nice and most of all helpful. That's important. The store is clean and easy to get around to shop for items. Sign in store misleading. Spend $50 GET $10 Limited time. So I spent $50 and the clerk knew that because she said I needed something more for a $1 to get there. After the purchase I said where is my $10. It was a receipt for the next time you come in and you get it after you spend another $35. So you need to spend $85 really.
