I had a great experience at Encounter Hat Co from start to finish. I was able to choose exactly what I wanted for my custom creation. Alexandria was patient with me while I made up my mind. She also took great care to get the fit precise and the look just right. I had her give it a distressed look and add some burned in markings with a branding iron. They have a wide variety of display hats to help you decide what you want your hat to look like. I was offered libations during the process to give me the full bespoke experience. Kyle showed me some of the hats he was working on while we talked about college football. I was stoked to have an in depth conversation about the Big 10 with a Golden Gopher in WY. It's been a couple weeks since my trip out west and my hat still fits perfectly, is comfortable to wear, and looks even better with a turkey 🪶🦃. Severely disappointed. We were visiting Denver and booked an appointment for a custom fitting. My husband was so excited and had been wanting to do something like this for a long time. I received a confirmation email of the appointment as well as a reminder email the day before. However, when we showed up for the appointment - located in an odd apartment building that was locked from the outside- a resident let us in the building, but no one answered the door at the suite number provided. We called the phone number listed on their website multiple times (no answer, straight to a voicemail), sent a Facebook message (with no response), tried texting the number (of course, no reply), then called back and left a message. I came to Jackson looking for a quality custom made hat and I’m very happy to have found Encounter. When my wife and I walked in we were warmly welcomed by David. I was familiar with hats and knew approximately what I was looking for but David was very helpful in the process. After deciding on a silver belly colored hat, he expertly went to work crafting my requested style. Midway through, Kyle the owner came in and introduced himself. They both worked with me on the perfect fit and look but it was the wonderful experience that made the purchase memorable.
