Today I went into GameStop here, with a small group of my close friends. We automatically went to the Pop Vinyl section and were greeted by one of the GameStop employees. I attempt to buy two of the Mighty Morphin PowerRangers: Blue Ranger and Green Ranger Pop Vinyls, but this unprofessional employee was the reason I put them back on the shelf and left. I was having a conversation with him about how I don't have space in my room for more posters. I should him a picture of my room as well. Hadn't I never done that, I would have never seen how deeply annoying and unprofessional this employee was. He said "Your room is trash." Infront of my friends. At this point, I was very upset. He also bragged about how much he collected and what he collected. "I've been collecting since I was Five, even my dad gave me of his collection. I collect posters, comics, pops, figures, I am a huge nerd, sorry, but your room is trash." Was what he told me. I became the bigger person and walked away, not even a minute later, he encountered me looking at a Miles Morales statue as well as a SpiderGwen statue. He told me "You can't buy those because I'm buying them." I was getting to the point where I should've just yelled and went off, but decided to be the bigger person and ignore. As two of my friends were making purchases, he came up to me again touching two keychains on my book bag, and I was getting super annoyed so I tried taking a few steps back for him not to touch my objects. But he still followed a little and tried to talk to me about Captain America: Secret Empire. I had an annoying expierience here and never plan on going in there or purcahsing anything there. He just ruined my whole...
Read moreTo be honest I have been going to this GameStop for many years almost all of the employees knows me very well they trust me not to do something stupid and every time I had a problem with something they quickly fix it they seem professional and friendly but there are times when they are in a rush they are not too friendly which I understand but when it comes to a customer's you have to learn to be patient because patience will always topple against being rude which is why I only give it 4 stars but they did get the job done when I ask them a question and do what they are supposed to do at least 95% of the time I don't have any problem with them even the female manager which I forgot her name but she is awesome most of the time but there are very few times she gets a little agitated when she is in a rush so I try not to upset anyone it can be stressful when you are dealing with thousands of people coming into GameStop every single day but they need to learn to keep themselves patient and I guarantee it will make a huge difference with a happy customer however I am sad that the Power Up Rewards elite membership will be retired I actually enjoyed it 😢 but at least I'm good until next year 2019 after that it's straight back to pro membership which is not that bad but it has room for improvements other than that I am pretty satisfied with this GameStop than any other place also the taxes low so it makes purchasing less expensive 😉👍 and if anyone wants to get stuff in GameStop with low tax your best bet is Newport Mall and GameStop is located downstairs next to JCPenney's 😉👍 that is all you...
Read moreAh man, this was the one Gamestop location I really liked going to. The guys working there are always so nice to talk to and unlike other GS locations I used to go to, they were always honest about the condition of my trade-ins and didnt try to claim defects that didn't exist. I've gone to trade-in at this one multiple times without any issues, I actually went in and traded in some games last week too.
That changed today. Unfortunately, AFTER having everything tested and checked I found out the GM of the store implemented a new policy. You can no longer receive cash for your trade-ins, despite the website listing cash, venmo, and prepaid cards as three separate options. They will only give you a prepaid mastercard for the cash value. So if you want cash, now they expect you to take the prepaid card to an atm, pay another fee on top of the value you lose for a cash value trade-in, and then pay the atm fee too.
Policy changes are one thing, but to arbitrarily change it within a period of a week without any form of visible notice is incredibly disrespectful to...
