United States Postal Service — Local services in Leavenworth

My husband and I sent our daughter in the military a package for her birthday as she is stationed in Japan. We kept asking her did you get your package, that was a month after and she replied no. Its been almost 3 months and we get a notice in the mail to go pick up a package. Well guess what: To our surprise it was her package coming back to us. We ask the post office before trying to track the package and all they could say was we don't know. Today was my boiling point with the post office here in Leavenworth, not only did we get her package back but they didn't have an explanation for what happen, to top it off they couldn't give us a refund for it. What happen to the good postal service? I asked for the post master to talk to him, well they lie saying that he was gone for the weekend. His car was outside, he closed his blinds. He was too afraid to talk to a customer and explain how come they can't do their job right? I will speak up about this, I am not the type of person to cause drama but.....I will speak up on behalf of doing what is right; and not be idiots trying to hide behind doors and not have an answer for not doing their job correctly. ...

I feel like basically any mailing problem I have ever had has been because of USPS, but this one has been particularly ridiculous. First they weren't delivering packages because the postman neglected to check the fully filled out tag with the new tenant information. When our package was reshipped they held it at the post office with absolutely no notice for what they labeled "customer request." When we went to pick it up they had lost it. It took them ten minutes to hut it down during which time they tried to tell us that they couldn't find it and that we should leave and talk to the company that had sent it. When it was finally found by a lady we had not spoken to at all yet she was hostile and incredibly rude. The way she spoke to us was like we didn't matter as people because we were renters that hadn't been living there for our whole lives. If you have any other options for your mail go that...

Our Postman is very rude & Has Been since we've purchased our home in 2015!! Complained several times to the Post Master in regards to a few issues we were having. Then found out that the man was actually talking trash about us not only to our neighbors but to his substitute!! We keep hoping crabby pants will retire & we'll be able to have his replacement /substitute she's a real sweetheart, very nice gal, always pleasant, cheerful & nice to talk to! Whatever happened to the good old days when the postal workers were nice people? Now as far as going to the branch here in Leavenworth, I have No complaints at all! Everyone there are Always very Helpful, Pleasant, Friendly & Enjoyable to talk to. Makes it a pleasure to come in! Thank You for always taking...
