This review is solely based on my experiences with 90% of the staff at this particular location and their extremely poor customer service. First item is their voluntary rudeness and their lack of sense of urgency when having to help customers, in more than occasion I've had to wait for the staff to finish their chatting with other staff members on personal conversations that have nothing to do with the store, in fact when forced to interrupt and ask for help all you get is attitude and the unwillingness to assist, and this happens not only on the floor but behind the counter when picking up online orders as well; second item is the absence of team leaders, department managers or on their case adult supervision, specifically when handling situations that require decision making, during one of my first visits there I encountered a man openly smoking marijuana near the infant/toddler's area, where children are constantly present, when I approach two employees nearby to make them aware of the situation, again I had to interrupt their chatting even though they saw me standing right in front of them and when I told them what was happening they both looked at each other and did nothing and said nothing, both employees had radios on hand and didn't call anyone or even attempt to go walk to that section to investigate further, as a parent I would be deeply concerned; third item is the obvious lack of staff training, half of the time the employees have no answers when asking basic store information, like inventory selection, isle directions, etc., on another occasion an employee was sitting on the main steps outside leading to the main entrance, on what it seemed to be a personal break, but literally blocking people from going up and down the steps, a lot of customers use those steps to avoid elevators and/or electric stairs to go into the store. This is the closest Target store near me but I avoid it as much as possible, I would give it one star based on customer service but the 10% of staff members who do take their job serious and act professional deserve recognition, they are one of the main reasons that keep...
Read moreNew store which only took a short 13 years to build that's located on the corner of Sunset & Western Ave across from WSS and Home Depot. Prices are good and what you'd expect from a well known brand like Target. Adequate parking is available inside the structure with the entrance being on De Longpre Ave and is "free" for the first hour with a validation receipt from a purchase at self checkout or any cashier. Please be aware that some associates don't know the locations of many products or the stores layout. I made the trip looking for few things with a handheld mirror being one of them. I asked the first associate I came across and was directed to the aisle that had these hanging metal things with a seat and two big rubber wheels which I'm pretty sure are called bicycles. The next associate I asked was super confident and for sure that I'd find it on the aisle with the towels and things for the shower in the bathroom department, which is where it for sure was not. It turns out the third associate I asked saved me some time and trouble by using her MyDevice and telling me that they don't carry it, nor did they carry any fabric tape or the curtain rod brackets I needed. But it's wonderful that everyone knows that Starbucks is located in the front....yay? I basically went there to exercise for 25 minutes while getting misinformed about the locations of products I wanted to buy which I'd never find in a million years since the store doesn't even carry it which defeated the purpose of going. So with 0 out of 3 things found I still end up in line with a Red Bull because the parking is only "free" with a validation receipt that you scan at a kiosk in the lot before exiting which you'll receive together with your purchase receipt... On the positive side, I know the Starbucks is at the front near the entrance by the metal stairs which look a lot like an escalator and close to the elevators that take 30 minutes to come up one floor so yeah, I'll call it a win-win situation!...
Read moreSelf check out has been disabled in the entire store since about a month ago, even in the snack area with hotdogs and slushies etc (where there is no other way to pay). The manned cash registers are small and crowded, and are built 2-in-a-row, super inconvenient and also super understaffed. The stock seems to be pretty good usually, but not lately, and sometimes random categories of items just run out and aren’t restocked for ages. Some nicer items are often not available like collaboration drops, holiday gift sets, special collections etc. Pretty decently sized plus women section and absolutely pitiful men’s section, but it’s pretty common across Targets I’ve noticed. Also really meager rice and pasta selection. Most of meds and toiletries are locked up. Really good selection of toys.
Gigantic parking lot, ~1.5h (?) free with purchase. A cafe type area is located on the second floor balcony near the snack bar, but it’s been trashed and closed a while ago, and they haven’t don’t anything to fix it, I don’t think. There is a picnic (? See photos) area with tables, no chairs or benches, outside on the ground floor near escalators, usually filled with homeless and people waiting for the bus. Convenient bus stop right outside, and a metro station a few blocks away.
Non super important but still - this store never participates in any promotions. If you get coupons or cash back deals to try new cool products, this store wouldn’t my accept them or most likely not even have them in stock.
I spent about 25 minutes in the line at these godforsaken registers the other day, frustrated after not finding any items in stock except toothpaste, and then not being able to buy a slushie without going back to said line, and then was accosted by a deranged homeless person… one of the worst target experiences...
