I don’t usually leave reviews—maybe one in the past, and it was positive—but some experiences stick with you, and this one feels worth sharing.

Let’s start with what’s good. I joined The Preserve back when it was called Second Home. It was still under construction when I became a member. The staff were great—my wife and I are still in touch with a few of them. The place has an amazing energy: beautifully designed, architecturally distinct, and creatively inspiring. It feels more like a vibrant café than a typical co-working space. I met a lot of great people. If you’re social, you’ll thrive here. There are a few tucked-away spots for focus work, but overall it leans communal.

Now for the not-so-great part.

When I first joined, it was through my company, Siberia. They handled the payments—company card, company contact. I just set it up. About a year in, I got a call from a collections agency. No warning. No email. No friendly “hey, check your account.” Nothing. I checked with my company—they hadn’t heard anything either. Sure, maybe something got lost in spam, but still—straight to collections felt abrupt.

When I tried to sort it out, I spoke with a new accountant who seemed to be cleaning house. Apparently, I wasn’t the only member being chased down. I get it—billing issues happen. But the whole thing felt cold and impersonal, especially in a space that brands itself as “home.” No heads-up, no conversation—just collections.

We eventually resolved it. I took a break from the space, but I missed the energy and returned about six months later, this time under my own name. At that point, Second Home had defaulted on their rent during the pandemic, and the property owner took over, rebranding it The Preserve. From what I gather, they weren’t given much info about member systems or billing when they took over.

A few months into my return, I noticed I wasn’t being charged. I tried to fix it. First, I spoke with the front desk—twice. They took my info, promised follow-ups. Nothing. Then I spoke with the property owner, who set me up with someone on his team. We met, he took my email, apologized—and nothing. I chased multiple people, maybe five or six times total, more than I’ve ever tried to pay a bill in my life.

Eventually, my work got busy and I stopped following up.

Then, while working one day, an employee walked up and told me I had to leave immediately for non-payment. It felt surreal—like I was being kicked out of a bar, not a co-working space. Once again, I was sent to collections. I pushed back a little, mostly out of disbelief. It was absurd—I had done everything short of wiring money to them blind.

I truly don’t think anyone intended harm. Everyone I met there was kind. But it’s clear the organizational handoff created cracks big enough for people to fall through—and then get penalized for it. I’ve even heard from another member who also got sent to collections without any notice.

It’s disappointing. I hope they get their systems in place and treat their members with more care...

I had the pleasure of working at The Preserve while on a work trip in LA. Their affordable day pass was the perfect solution for my situation and the variety of work areas to choose from was amazing. The receptionists were friendly and helped me check in/ answer any question I had.

I was able to set up camp in various areas of the space throughout my stay and each one was such a fun experience.

The cafe was great and the drinks were all reasonably priced This helped me from having to leave the area to find food/ refreshments.

I heard about this place when I was a college student in LA studying architecture and never got the chance to visit until after I had left the area.

Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely will be back the next time I'm in town and need a place...

We've been at Preserve LA for almost five years now and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. The staff is incredible, always attentive and welcoming, making our experience seamless and enjoyable. The campus itself is absolutely stunning, with its lush green spaces and open areas creating a serene and inspiring environment. The food options are fantastic, offering a variety of delicious choices that cater to every taste.

The overall vibe at Preserve LA is unmatched – it's a place where creativity and productivity thrive. We're always proud to host our clients here, knowing they'll be as impressed as we are. It's truly magical, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of this...

We just had a corporate event with 125 people. The Oval room and courtyard were perfect for our event. The whole property is beautiful, and the open concept and natural light is inspiring. The entire team we worked with Angelica (coordinator), Wesley (Tech) and Danny (F&B) were communicative and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Our team is already asking when we can go back!

I attended a lovely private event here the other day. I don’t know how much came from the venue, but it was such a beautiful space right in LA. I have already recommended the space to a handful of people for future booking. Lots of trees and greenery create a beautiful biome, shielding you from the surrounding city. It was truly a treat
