Went to Chris N Eddy's for the first time a couple months ago and loved ittt. From the crisp meat skirt on the slider to the perfectly seasoned waffle fries and tater tots. I was solddd. And then you add the super welcoming and helpful cashier, I was ready to be prepared to be a returning customer!

So fast forward to today, I was eager to introduce this place to another new customer. But for whatever luck, it was a complete 180 from my first visit. I was a party of four and we all expected the advertised combo--sliders and waffle fries or tots. We were advised tots were out that day, so we all chose the waffle fries. When we got our orders, we find out that we all got the basic straight fries, not what was posted on their limited menu above the cashier, and definitely not what we asked for. When asked what happened, they told us that waffle fries are at an extra charge?? But no where in this restaurant is that memo posted! Additionally, they messed up our orders--added pickles when none were requested. And then didn't add pickles to the sliders that wanted it. Sounds a little sus to post a combo with no notes that the advertised combo is only at an upgraded charge.

The sliders were still as tasty as I remembered. The straight fries were weak and would not get again. Next time I might reconsider coming here if they keep on with their weird up-charges that are no where to be found...

Stopped in late Thursday night after a showing of ‘The Lion King’, it was around 11pm and thankfully the restaurant was open. I placed my order online and received a call shortly thereafter asking for my ETA so that my meal would be ready as soon as I arrived, I was pleased to find that when I arrived my meal was getting bagged up and ready to go. A few guests were sitting inside but nobody ordering. The gentleman helping out was not shy about providing extra sauce and pickles, which I was thankful for. All in all I was on my way home in less than 5 minutes.

The burgers were flavorful and dense, the burnt edges were crispy and the cheese had melted into the burger and grilled onions to create a wonderful marriage of flavors and textures. the buttery bun melts in your mouth and the waffle fries are crispy and pair amazingly well with the Chris n’ Eddy’s sauce. The sauce is definitely worth the trip and way better than about 99% of all other burger joint spread-type sauces. The crispier the better in my opinion. Even after using 4 containers of pickles, I still felt like I could have used another pickle or two haha.

This is the perfect burger joint in a perfect part of east Hollywood, I look forward to my next visit to try the exact same burgers with raw onions, possibly tonight… Next step for C&Es is to bottle that sauce and...
