I’d rather have my nonexistent left nut castrated than have to come back here again.
First of all, it’s downtown so good luck finding street parking. They do have their own dedicated parking garage shared with the tenants of the BLOC that you will most likely miss the first time around so you’ll have to circle since much like every other downtown - it’s all one way.
I checked in on time for my appt. The lady at the front checked my id and insurance card then told me I was good and that I could sit and wait. So sit and wait I did. So I’m sitting there waiting and watching everyone get called but me. 20 mins pass. 30 mins pass. I was deep scrolling on the gram so time kept passing. 45 mins pass and I notice people with appt times after me getting called. Finally, after sitting there for a full hour, I went to the front to ask how much longer the wait was going to be. The lady said oh no and proceeded to tell me I was in the wrong area. The area I needed to be at was down the hall. Directly across the reception was another desk with one person outside for a different dept. I heard when they called out for their patient. The room I needed to be in was a separate area with a separate door. It didn’t appear to me that they were calling out for their patients as their receptionist area was inside. I told the man out front about my situation - that I was waiting a full hour on the other side not knowing or being told that i was in the wrong room. He told me he would have to check with the tech on duty. Said tech refused to see me. There was still a full hour left in the work day and the room was empty with no other patients, but I wasn’t accommodated. I feel like if the tech took the time to hear me out I could’ve maybe be seen, but who knows. What made me laugh was the man out front told me the earliest I could be seen was not until June. Yeah no. I made this appt over the phone within 48 hours of the appt. For you to tell me I’’d have to wait 4 months is outrageous and a little insulting.
I’ll see...
Read moreThe last 3 visits to this location have been terrible. My doctors have been nothing short of amazing, however, the staff and nurses have been the worst. The first time, I waited 30 minutes after my doctor visit to get my labs but I had to go get someone because it had been so long. The second time, I was waiting 40 minutes after and the medical assistant told me to check out and they would call me soon. I’m not sure what happened, but they forgot about me. Over an hour after my appointment and still no labs. I had to leave for work, so I left and sent a message to my doctor explaining what happened and that they basically forgot about me. He apologized and said they could schedule a nurse visit for my labs at any time I’d like. I was called and told they’d schedule me at 915 but can be seen as early as 830. Not happy I had to come back, but granted the labs needed to get done. Well, here I am again today and it’s 9:10 and I still have not been seen. I went to ask and was told the nurse was seeing other patients. Wow, well at least tell me over the phone I’d be waiting and not given priority. Seriously?! I really hope they change the staff and nurses here soon. It’s not looking good on the doctors and UCLA health overall! I am seriously considering...
Read moreLove seeing my doctor here - Dr. Yu is simply amazing. I had a terrible front office experience that unfortunately overshadows my positive experiences. Today, after my appt, I went to the front desk to check out and asked to set up the follow up appt, labs, imaging. I was told that I didn’t have a referral and to call back another day. I asked if she could just ask or call my doctor to confirm the specialist referral (I was seconds out from my appt with my doctor and only a few feet away from her). She said no but she can try to send a message. She had me sit and wait.. and wait.. and wait while she joked around with coworkers. I eventually got up and asked her about it again and she said that I didn’t need to wait for the referral, that it’ll probably come through by my appt. I had waited for nothing. I then told her I moved and that my pharmacy changed. I gave her the new address and confirmed it with her. I’m on my way to the new pharmacy to pick up my meds, only to find out that they had been sent to my old pharmacy. She clearly did not update my pharmacy or want to help me at all. It’s wildly disappointing that this is the level of support I’m getting from a UCLA facility....
