I became a Longchamp fan after purchasing a bag for my mom in Newport Beach, CA and having one of the best sales experiences I have ever had. When I came to the Macy’s location yesterday (Wednesday) at around noon, the store was dead quiet and there were 2 sales attendants that just stood there with their hands clasped. I had come in because the strap of my Le Pliage bag began peeling after having it for less than 1 years and I wanted to see if it was covered under warranty. The two of them just stood there and said no and did not even bother to look at the bag. Then one of them accused me of possibly having it for much longer than a year because she did not experience the same with her own bag until owning it for years. I was trying to engage them further and asked them if this was a common problem with the bag because it was my first one and they just shrugged. Again, the store was empty and they were just standing there. This is a far cry from the level of customer service I have experienced with Longchamp because I decided to call this morning and the rep on the phone said that strap damage is covered and I just needed to fill out their online form with pictures. I am truly disgusted by the two reps yesterday. Do not bother coming here. The soho store...
Read moreI was in NYC for Labor Day weekend with my mother in law and my daughter. We were looking for a new style of purse. We went to a lot of different stores on 5th Ave and finally decided for Macy’s since our hotel was close by. All stores were very nice with us despite of what we were wearing or how tired we were. Unfortunately, at Longchamp Macy’s the manager ( I guessed he was the manager because of his petulant behavior) was very rude to us just because he assumed that we could not afford a $1000.00 purse. We had $1500.00 in cash and because of his misjudgment, he lost commission on that and the store was kept EMPTY while people shop at Tory, MK, RL, Gucci, etc. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. THAT person needs to understand that if he is inside Macy’s NYC, he will have to deal with all kind of people. If it’s too much for him he should find another job. I wish I had taken his name. Offensive - Disrespectful - Racist behavior at LongChamp. Options for you are: close the store or fire that ugly person and hire somebody with a heart and...
Read moreDO NOT SHOP HERE. You’re better off buying online or from other Longchamp branches. I received a bag from this store as a birthday gift from my friend. I wasn’t happy with the size, so I went to exchange it within 5 days of purchase (I was busy earlier). They refused to exchange it, claiming it was “smelly” and “used.” Yes, I had opened the bag to see how it looked, but I never used it. I simply didn’t put it back into its ziplock bag just kept it inside the Long champ paper bag so there might have been a little dust, barely noticeable. The so-called manager idk if she was Hispanic or Asian) was extremely unprofessional, rude, and impolite. Her tone throughout the conversation was dismissive. When I asked to speak to the manager, she first said she would “ask” them, but when I insisted, she suddenly claimed the manager was out and wouldn’t be back until next week. The bag was clearly brand new, but this staff member refused to acknowledge it. Awful service and attitude—never...
