Highly recommend Johan to make your daily life easier for those of us that deal with unruly frizzy, hard to tame hair. After years of getting hair botox treatments at the best salons & keratins, nothing really did it for my hair. Extreme hair fall, flat hair, or results that only lasted a few washes or stick straight hair ends with unnameable roots. Johan kept my natural waves while removing all frizz. In the areas that I wanted to soften a specific wave, he made sure to do that. He tailors this treatment very specific to your needs & wants. I was ready to give up on hair relaxing treatments/ frizz treatments but decided to give it one last shot with Johan because of his amazing reviews / testimonies. Included in his price you get a full hair care set which smells amazing & makes your hair super soft and manageable, plus he is like a personal trainer for your hair, any questions you have or help you need with your hair he will always be available to you in the longevity of your hair. You can see the amount of volume and frizz in my before pictures, I was never able to wear my hair down, always in an updo and if I did style it, it was short lived until humidity ruined it. Now I have beautiful hair everyday, shiny and frizz free without having to renounce my natural waves. I feel like he gave me back my child hood hair....

Johan has cut my hair for about 20 years -- since I was 8+ months pregnant with my daughter. He has often cut my daughter's hair, too. I think he's probably a great stylist for anyone -- he has a wonderful eye -- but he specializes in curly, frizzy hair. Johan has developed his own products and processes for the management of difficult hair, and they're EXCELLENT! Last summer, he convinced me to try his anti-frizz / curl-relaxing treatment (first time in my life I've gone for such a thing). I'm hooked! My hair is still curly -- looks like my hair -- but the curls are a little looser, a little more manageable; more like how they were when I was much younger (and on a nice, dry day). Johan also styled my daughter's hair (and did her makeup, by the way) for her senior prom. (My usual hairstyle is no-fuss; wash-and-go. Johan is great at that. But he certainly can do glam, too! ) And: he's great company; always cheerful, energetic, upbeat. I feel so lucky to have found him, all those years ago (by chance, because I was too pregnant to want to ride the subway and he was right near home . . ..) ...

I’m writing this review a little over a month after the MAVA Anti-Frizz treatment and I’m still so happy with the results! Instead of reverting back to its frizzy unmanageable ways, my hair feels like it’s getting healthier with the products Johan provided (especially the hair mist). I did my part and completely simplified my hair care routine eliminating all the products I was experimenting with and actually clogging my hair follicles with and I’m just using the MAVA line (I really believe you have to go all in to really see if something works and it has been working). Keratin and Botox treatments would last about a week or two before my roots went crazy and my hair just felt dry and looked greasy after I put products in. Literally my hair ended up looking greasy the day I washed it and spent hours styling, my hair was not absorbing any of those oils and heavy products, and on top of that I used dry shampoo to try and make it look clean.
