Kbap & Wings is a homey Korean restaurant that has been opened in Midtown since 2005. You can find all your favorite comfort food here, from fried chicken to bibimbap, from army stew to kimbap. Fyr the spice level is no joke here.
*Korean Fried Chicken Wings** We opted for the 6pc wings, which is ONLY $12! We tried two of their signature flavors: snow cheese wing is coated with cheese powder, while the other one is glazed in sweet, sour and spicy sauce.
Snow cheese is very addictive if you like cheesy and crispy snacks. Unless you’re very confident with your spice tolerance, otherwise think twice before you get the sweet and spicy chicken. Pity that our wings were only lukewarm. They would be more delicious if they were served hot.
*Army Stew Army stew is so comforting even on a hot day. The pot has sausage, spam, pork and ramyun, and white rice served on the side. The portion size is hearty and you can definitely order one to share. The kimchi broth is a little spicy.
*Seafood Pancakes The seafood pancake tasted bland on its own but the dipping sauce adds more tangy and sweet flavor to it.
Our server is very sweet and attentive. She kept refilling water while we were dying from the spicy wings. They also value and take customers’ feedback seriously when I reflected about the lukewarm wings, which I really...
Read moreGoing to tell you, I am a foodie. I am strictly just talking about the wings. The other food might be good. I ordered a lot of wings because my aunt has never tried Korean fried chicken and I kept promising her so I went to this place based on the reviews and it freaking suck, the chicken was not crispy. The skin was loose was not crispy at all wasn’t cooked all the way And for everybody here saying this chicken is good. You probably really don’t know good Korean fried chicken I do this is not it and I can guarantee you everybody up here giving good reviews has never ate at turntable Chicken jazz or mad for Chicken. I am so disappointed. I was so embarrassed that I bought a bag full of junk to my aunt to try Korean chicken for the first time Soon as I opened the box I knew this shit was going to be garbage. The only thing that saved the day was a french fries that my aunt liked she ate one piece of chicken and wrap the rest up. I know she’s going to throw it out. She just didn’t wanna hurt my feelings. This place sucks I will never...
Read moreReally good chicken at a reasonable price, I got the 6pc wings/drums for $12 and felt it was good for lunch. The sauce was delicious and coated the chicken perfectly. However, I feel like the $7 was not worth it for the plain fries. The fries aren’t terrible, just rather bland (maybe they forgot to salt mine?) and they were also a little soggy, so I kept having to dip them in the ketchup or chicken sauce. Maybe the snow cheese ones would be tastier! There wasn’t a lot of table service, as the employee only came over to take the order and bring the food out. However, they did bring a carafe of water to the table for self service of water, and there was a call button I noticed (although I didn’t try to use it while I was there). The employees were friendly and polite. It might be more difficult to bring a larger party here due to limited seating. K-pop music was playing in the background, but not at an overly loud volume. Overall, I would come back here again just for...
