SalonJYB/Salon@10 — Local services in New York

Just moved and wanted a salon I could walk to - so called Salon 10 even though I was nervous about trying a new stylist. Johnny fit me in same day even though he was working alone on a busy Saturday. He juggled 2 other clients plus me but I never once felt like he was rushing. In fact he was extremely meticulous with my coloring and then cut/styled my hair perfectly. (My husband was like: Hey nice hair! He usually doesn't notice!) Johnny's definitely a caring, very talented and knowledgeable pro. And his pricing is very reasonable especially for the attention to detail he provides. I would have schlepped back to my old neighborhood salon if I had to, but I don't have to - I will be happily walking to Salon 10...

I am pretty picky when it comes to hair service. So picky that never able to stick with the same hair stylist. Went to Johnny about 6 months ago for hair cut and roll perm. I was very happy then but over time for the past 6 months, as my hair grew longer and perm getting looser, I’ve been more impressed by how my hair looks better and better. This never ever happened before. Yes, perm always looks better and more natural after a month and so but by 3 months point, it doesn’t look good anymore. Now after 6 months, my hair looks so good I don’t even have to go back for another perm/ cut. When my hair style finally starts deteriorating, I’ll actually be excited to go...

Would give 0 stars if I could. Called to make an appointment beacuse I had purchased groupon. Little did I know that this guy would berate groupon and refuse to accomadate me on a Sat for the entire year! Says he can't take anyone except during the week. Well then, he needs to stipulate the terms on the deal. Extremy rude and told me that I should have called first before buying groupon. Why be on the site then? Or at least put the terms saying they won't honor groupon on weekend. People that work weekdays can't take 2 hrs off to...
