Went to drop off 3 items (2 antique wooden tools and a jigsaw). Walked up to the back bay doors, which were open, and talked to the person working. Told him we were dropping off items and long story short he was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. Turns out we were 15 minutes early to the store opening, which we didn't know. This must have inconvenienced him to the highest degree even though we apologized for not knowing and asked him if we could just drop the things off on the table, so he wouldn't have to do literally anything. He proceeded to call the items we brought garbage, which is upsetting that a person who works in a humanitarian store to call the items people use garbage. Read moreI used to love this store. Something happened, the burocracy of the policy and process stripped the store of its humanity. They are donated items for free, yet claim overhead keeps them from helping their customers. My integrity was insulted, and my investment and financial dignity diminished. I already feel poor, thanks for making me feel like my money didn't matter. And to the board, this is your fault for forcing such horribly stern policy into your employees. They shouldn't be placed in that stressful situation with an already financially vulnerable target market audience.
